Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

So the MP office contacted us yesterday (took a week)

Not really what we wanted to hear but...She mentioned that our file was transferred to Edmonton in April for farther assessment, (after medicals I am assuming). She confirmed what the CIC self-serve agent told me in August, that it could take up to a year (6 months more to go).

They wouldn't tell her more, so we finally ordered the GCMS notes, we'll know what really is going on.

We thought our application was straightforward, (no crimes, been in canada other than Mexico) no Status but according to them that doesn't affect an application, who knows, but oh boy, they do know how to test people's patience.

Has anybody else experienced something similar within 2017 up to now?

I am a July 25th 2017 applicant.

Yes l am experiencing the same issues, my file got transferred to Etobicoke for further assessment in the month of July 2018.l file my application on May 2017, medical passed, SA approved but PA to exam bona fide according to my GCSM notes . I am still waiting for Etobicoke .Almost 5months after 12months have passed away

Same, we only have SA but in process on the PA. Have you called CIC? Or your MP? Has anybody told you how long more?

I didn't know about that form, might not be worth to even try it. Are you also out of status?

Anything we need to be aware of prior to the interview you guys think???
He is just asked to bring in photos . Fee receipt and passport and for me just an ID

Yes l am out of status bcuz they initially returned my application and by the time l received and resubmit l couldn't restore or extend my visa

In fact they didn't even check my documentation well at the initial stage and simply returned the entire application including the work permit on the grounds of missing documents.meanwhile when I checked again everything was intact, l then resubmitted them without adding anything except to explain the fact that all documents have been attached and so they should check it again. I then received AOR in the month of June 2017 and everything was moving smoothly until they approved SAand PA file was transferred for further assessment

Hubby just received the email/letter that he has met the "requirements for eligibility as a sponsor" -- is this the AIP?

I haven't received anything yet though.

That's SA. Keep watch for your AIP (on the letter it would indicate eligibility to apply for PR) and DM (process is completed). You may also see the updates in ECAS and your MyCIC account.

I just checked ECAS and it said Decision Made on the main page (PR application status) but then when I click it the only updated line there was :
We started processing your application on October 20, 2018.
