Well I applied as a single student for TRU’s MBA program. I can understand why your application is taking a while since you applied with your kids and your wife is also applying for her work permit so they’ll naturally take their time to look at your profile. I think my application was simple enough considering my age, course of study and all of that and that’s why it didn’t take so long, just be patient and if it exceeds the stipulated time you can send them a mail

Your academic profile is awesome and your ielts is quite good, with your profile you can get admission with any top DLI, but only the DLI to which you intend to apply holds such "guaranteed assurance" you hoping to hear.

With your profile, shoot your shot, am sure you won't miss. Best of luck

hello, house
I have a slight issue,
so I studied economics in unilag and finished with a 2.2. I have never used my degree as I became a makeup artist immediately after school.
right now I own my own makeup school and have a fairly successful career as a makeup artist and hairstylist. i registered my business in 2013 and i am 26 and graduated in 2013. I have been thinking about officially becoming licenced as I feel like this is the next step I need to take towards my dream.
I have dreams of having my own beauty, spa and wellness centre and I want to do a course in Canada in September 2019. I'm looking to study one of the following
1. beauty therapy
2. medical Esthetics
3. spa management

the issue I have is that this kind of courses usually come as college diplomas, which I don't mind doing but how can I go about it because everyone keeps saying they won't give me a visa because it is a complete 360 from economics and it is a step back since I have a BSc. i love the industry i am in and i really want to grow.

any advice would be much appreciated.

I have not taken GRE exam. Is it aproblem for admission or funding? Also i don't have any publication in my bsc, is it a problem?
If its not a compulsory requirement from your prospect DLI, then there is no worries. There is also no worries if you haven't put out a publication after your B.sc but be sure to show any project/thesis work completed prior to graduation

was your medical upon request or an upfront?

similarly cases of your situation is what most Fall 2018 applicants are facing(especially applicants from Nigeria). I know few April and many May applicants who haven't heard of a single word after biometrics from IRCC.

To be frank, there's nothing much you can do or an advise from any person than sending IRCC reminder emails and webform(CSE) even if generic messages are received as response, and pray hard for a positive outcome. Do you have the new admission letter?

I see a beautiful profile, and to be honest, doing a Diploma after a B.sc is tedious to convince the VO but very feasible. Did you also search for those prospect courses under PGC/D?

With this profile, I see a SP approval. In getting this to reality, you have to write a good and convincing Statement of Purpose on why doing a Diploma after a B.sc and why you going for a course that best suits your work experience instead of that to your graduate course.

Don't be discourage in any way. Its good to try and fail than not to try to do because you don't want to fail, that's the real failure.

In other consideration, do you want to be a self sponsored or not? I don't why but i just see you scaling through with the appropriate convincing documents.

In conclusion, I have seen few people who have gotten approvals to do a Diploma/PGD after a B.sc and a Second degree after a First. Wear your thinking hat. Best of luck!
