just got email from Ralph Goodale, now sure I am under SS, this is what he says, how long shall I expect this to be done. Experienced seniors, please guide.

"I spoke to IRCC regarding your application received June 30, 2018. It is at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, NS.
Standard processing time is 6 months. This means 80% of routine applications are completed within that time frame, while 20% take longer.
Eligibility and criminality are passed.
Your spouse’s security checks are passed.
Your security checks were initiated Aug 23, 2018 and are in progress. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.
Medicals are valid until June 30, 2019."

I remember reading that security checks take 1 to 2 months so you're still in that time frame. Even if you're in SS some people get through as early as 6-8 months and most before the expiry of their medicals.
I'd say stay hopeful but mentally prepare yourself for a long wait just in case.

Why did you put the SS in your timeline? Did you order the notes?
