Hi, it's not 100% related to the topic, sorry about that, but I've a question maybe someone already experienced that. I'm in process since April, I think I won't complete the process before the end of the year, my resident card expires in December.
I have to go to the US after my card expires, and it seems now it takes at least 4 months for the renewal of the resident card. I read that by car it's possible without the card but I can't find real experience .
Does anyone experienced to go to the US by car without the resident card?

You can send urgent application with flight ticket to get a new card faster than the normal process. My advice call cic before you send this application.

Hi all,

I finished my test and as per the interview all is good and was told by the officer that we will receive oath sometime in Nov.

I just checked and it seems only my application is changed to DM not of my spouse which is still in progress.

Anything to worry?

Hello,

I did my test today at Calgary Office, got 20/20. I have read the book about 3 times and did lots of tests online. Did almost all the websites I could find. The questions weren't on the online tests though... It's better to be overly prepared than sorry.. I have been told that the oath taking date will be in December. If it's true, it will be my 11th month process.

Best of luck everyone! We'll eventually get there, sooner or later!

Test Invite - May 22
Test Date - June 13
Decision made - June 14.
My observation is that those who had their test in June ,July or Aug will have to wait a bit longer for the Oath but could get the invitation by Dec.
Those doing the test now are given Oath invitation in just 3 weeks time.
The officer had told me in summer months its slow.

Got to know my application is being processed at Surrey. Going through the tracker and posts here, seems like there's no movement at the Surrey office. My PR card has expired; looking through some of the posts regarding delays, I'm now leaning towards applying for PR card renewal even though I would get the new PR card around the time my citizenship application gets to 12 months mark... didn't really want to do this, but I guess it's better to be safe and prepared in case of any emergency.. :(

My understanding is for most applicant who got their test for this month are more chance to get Oath Citizenship invitation than for the month of June to August?

I was on the same boat and I inquired if I should ask for urgent processing of PR, the agent said don't bother and just cancel the trip.
Long story short, I missed my trip and still waiting for oath.
