I am similar situation, I'm going to my home country for Christmas and not sure if I will have my PR card by then.

but according to this you can get a Permanent Resident Travel Document if you don't have the PR card.

we are going for 2 weeks max, including the flights time. It takes 6 weeks to process the PRTD and it will be the holiday anyway so restricted working hours.... this ETA cancelation is really annoying...

Some people have been getting their cards more quickly in the last few weeks, so maybe it'll be ok.

There is no hope at all for us as we can't get them to move at all with our last stage My husband really needs to go see his dad.

i just received request for fingerprints and PCC from India,

application received- 21 Nov,2017
medical done- may,2018
requested schedule A- Aug,2018 (send in same week)
requested copy of passport- 24 Aug,2018(send on same day)
requested PCC and fingerprints: Today(can provide in 30 days)

Hi I am 20 nov I got request for fingerprints as well I have submitted with app also I don’t know why they asking again but anyways hope this ends soon

Yaay my husband got his landing date Oct 16 .. applied June 6 2017... DM on Sept 14 .. landing schedule on Sept 24 in surrey office
