Thanks Rashu,

I called IRCC today and they gave me the address by phone. You think it is still better to also send a WebForm Request?
Yes, because you will have evidence. There is no evidence of a phone call. What if you encounter an unfriendly staff? They may give you hard time. SO, better you send and then once they respond, take a print and go. In that way, you will have your written evidence.

Yeah I sent a web form, hope i'll get an answer before September 27. I might also go to the Mississauga center before Oath date and see if anyone can print the letter for me.

If you want to update the Tracker:

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 20, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 10, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on January 23, 2018.
  4. We sent you a notice on April 25, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 15, 2018 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
  5. We sent you a notice on September 6, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on September 27, 2018 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
* Application type: Single
* Test done at Scarborough
* Total Physical Presence: 1566 days
* Oath will be at Mississauga

PS: I have not received the letter for some reason, I called IRCC and they mentioned it was emailed to me on September 6, yet I have nothing in my inbox/junk folder. But the lady from IRCC mentioned I do not need it and I can go as I am listed, I should bring some pieces of ID, passports, PR Card and Landing document.

I am extremely happy, my Journey started in 2006 as a international student. Then Work Permit. Then PR and soon, even though by now I am 100% Canadian at heart, I will be able to finally and officially say that I am Canadian!

Thank you all for this blog, it helps a lot!
I'm really happy for you congrats man! I guess I will receive mine end of september as you are three weeks ahead of me...May be they sent it by mail and you have misheard them? Please update when you hopefully have no problems with ceremony.

Hi,

I checked ECAS and It updated today with:
However I haven't received any email/mail since September 6. What should I do in this case?
Updated. Congrats!!

Hi,
Has anyone on this forum gone through their local MP to find out application status?
What's the procedure? and how long does it take for the MP's office to find / call IRCC
and is it even useful?

Thanks for the help

Yes - and it makes no difference unless you are beyond 12 months. My app was received on Oct 13th - DM on March 6th. Still waiting on Oath. Action can only be taken once the 12 month period is over - that is, beyond the IRCC standard processing time. It's very disheartening.

Thanks for the reply, so basically no use approaching MP's office then...this is disappointing

I've done it - but IRCC won't tell them anything they're not telling you via the phone or web form. Until 12 months is up, you wait. Fair or not - you wait.
Thanks...appreciate the feed back....so all the effort made to approach the MP's office is gone down the tube. I may as well call and ask.
