Hi,

I applied for Visitor visa on 20th July for me and my wife via normal application via an agent. I have US visa but my wife's US visa has been refused twice. By mistake, the agent didn't mention that so we got refusal email after 10 days

1. Failure of wife to declare previous United States visa refusals.
- understood.. admit it is a mistake

2. Personal assets and financial status
- Didn't understand why. I make USD 5000+ per month with min balance always around USD 6K and above

3. Purpose of visit
- Didn't understand why. I had clearly stated in the covering letter that we are going to Canada for 2 weeks and then my wife would return to India and I will go to the US

So reapplied the next day (2nd Aug) by
Addressing the 1st problem - said it was done unintentionally + mentioned it on the form as well.
Addressing the 2nd problem by sharing the contract with the company I work and a company I own in India, including shop act, ITR, and other details. Also, attached wife's bank details that has $2000 balance for more than 6 months
Addressing the 3rd problem by mentioning where all we are going and what the itinerary is during the trip. Also, now we have cut down the trip to 7 days as I need to be there in the US soon.

It has been 14 days, the status still says - processing at Bangalore. What are the chances of getting the Visitor visa now and when will we get it?

It's never a good idea to reapply for visas on the rebound without understanding the refusal reasons.

Based on your post, you and your wife have still not addressed the refusal reasons. As you have already reapplied, nothing can be done but to wait for decisions

Thanks, Bryanna for answering the question. I didn't understand at first place why the other two reasons were included. We both have active UK visas too. We both have been together to the UK, Europe, South Africa as well recently. I have been to the US four times in the last 2 years. In total, I have been to 26 countries, most of them in the last 2 years.

Hi everyone,

It has been over 21 days since I reapplied for the visa. I got the acknowledgement letter last week but no further update. I am scheduled to fly on Aug 27th. What should I do?

Also, I need to be in the US on September 5th. My wife will return to India on the same date. Please help.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do until processing crosses the time published on the IRCC website.

You can try emailing the visa office but it's highly unlikely that you will get the visa/decision before your flight because of the weekend

Thanks for the quick response, @Bryanna.

So in case, I want to withdraw - I know the process but will it affect my chances of getting the visa next time I apply?

My bad. I missed the point that your agent applied. I assume you signed the IMM 5476 (Use of representative) form.

IRCC will not respond to any email that you send. Only your agent must email the visa office.

It's pointless to withdraw your application. Even if you want to withdraw/cancel the current application, only IRCC can decide whether or not to allow this

Okay. Now that our date of arrival in Canada will go past by, will it affect the visa application? Because we were only to go to Canada for those 7 days.

This is taking way longer than I expected. I needed to know if they see the dates for August as departure will they still approve the visa? i was supposed to be in the US by now. @Bryanna said it is pointless to to withdraw application. Please help.
