student permit will expire before landing(already got copr letter by that time)

My student permit will expire before I do the landing. But I would already got my copr letter by that time. My parents cannot do landing as soon as possible. Do i need to renew my student permit or i can just use the copr letter to continue as a student?

How many days between your student permit expiring and your landing?

The quite answer is that you should renew your study permit to keep your status in Canada valid and be able to continue your studies legally. The COPR does not give you status in Canada.
