Hi, Just wanted to share my experience... I applied for a PGWP online July 27, 2018... since then until August 14, 2018, no update. I decided to go to the border instead (North Dakota Border), I was able to get a PGWP after 2hours.
So you did the flagpole?
Did you withdraw the application?
I'm thinking of doing this as no update from June 23rd

I got my PGWP on June and applied to my spouse work permit on June 26th.
This morning his status changed to review of eligibility.
Hopefully, he will get the approval on Monday.

Hello All,
I got my PGWP up to end of my passport which is almost 1.5 year. However, I changed my mind and I am going to continue my study instead of working. My question is that as I still have 1.5 year for my work permit when I renew my passport, I was wondering is it possible I use it after graduation?( I am saying instead sending request to renew my work permit for the second half of it, I hold it until I graduate and then I use it .)
Thanks

Applied on 27th of June, got REFUSED today. I believe this is not fair for us who studied in private schools during 2,3 years. My school was eligible for pgwp until my 2nd year’s last semester but I still get refused. School never told me anything until I asked them the new rules about private school that I found out on google. Is there anyone who had similar problem and got a lawyer?

Hm, even 2 years ago private school graduates were not allowed to get PGWP. Why did you go for it - I do not know. The best option it to aply for one of DLI colleges for 2 year program, finish it and get your PGWP.

Which school? A lawyer will have a tough time since the officer acted according to the rules. Make sure your status does not expire now.

This seems too high risk, get your 1 year experience then you can study more later.

Because advisor told me I can get pgwp after studying there. I’m not gonna spend 2 more years to get work permit.

I've applied for PGWP on June 24th
Still no update. I've called today, and have been told to wait another 10 days as they are processing earlier applications.

I've applied for my family at the same time, hopefully it will not take to long to hear back
