Maghreb countries have a strong French and to an extent Italian influenceYes, their arabic is closer to literary/classical arabic than ours.
Indeed, most Tunisians used to speak French and Italian fluently and we have lots of words that come from both languages. Have you lived in any of the Maghreb countries?Maghreb countries have a strong French and to an extent Italian influence
Neither I have live there nor I have visited before, but have worked with a lot of partners/end customer within the region for various Energy & O&G projectsIndeed, most Tunisians used to speak French and Italian fluently and we have lots of words that come from both languages. Congratulations!!! That means when you were typing your post” waiting for new week” that time your PPR email was in your inbox n was waiting to be welcomedThank you I read the email on Sunday but I actually received it on Saturday. As a matter of fact, the content of the email is dated from the 27th.
congratulations, that's awesomesauce!PPR!! PPR!! PPR!! ))))))))))))) I still can't believe it I received the email around 3:00 am (Tunis time) on July 28th but I've been experiencing issues with my email during the week-end, I've received my emails all at once a few minutes ago and among them was the PPR )))))))))
Here's my timeline:
AOR: April 30, 2018
MEP/IP1: May 4, 2018
IP2: July 27, 2018
PPR: July 27, 2018
already received a set of GCMS notes back in early June, and notes were set to 'Recommended Passed'. Checked with them on the call centre number a week after BGC began (acc to myCIC). Haven't bothered doing anything after that.23 or 24 April depending on which timezone you are looking at. If you have been stuck without update on your screen, I really recommend giving them a phone call and being nice. What they see on their screen is different to what we see on ours. They straightforward told me "ya on Eligibility you have been recommended you as "Passed" and are waiting for the security check" I was so happy I cried on the phone, so he was also quite happy to have helped giving me further info.
He also confirmed what people have known for a long time. Some will only update once a PPR or trouble comes, some will update periodically. So just answer nicely if asked like "you know it's still within the time frame, right?" DO NOT CHALLENGE DIRECTLY by going "it's my right, bla bla". Instead be nice and say "Yes, but I am aware that some may get updated less and less, we just want to prepare for anything". You need them more than they need you. Basically you want to prepare some bullet points that ask them to tell you what's on their screen and not to imply they need to reveal everything. Also, probably don't bother with terms like IP1, IP2, or anything. Just make it conversational.
Edit: I think I recalled you from the IELTS thread so it may not apply to you, but sometimes our language barrier makes us sound like we are bossing them around. Also asking technical questions may make them feel uncomfortable. Make it flow.
True what happened with my emails this week-end is really weird and it's the first time I experince this. It had to be on the week-end the PPR was sentCongratulations!!! Legend (not me eh..) says you have received a ghost update...Hi guys, I have a question. Yesterday morning I checked my CIC account to see if there is anything new even though I did not recieve any email. When I logged in, application status was given as "Updated". As usual I opened the application to find out that its still in IP2.
What could it mean if anyone could explain please ?
