I read on lot of links that the medical should be done at least one week before the application to be considered upfront but nothing of this sort is mentioned on CIC site...Is this correct?

It is mentioned in IMM5957E.
See the 4th bullet point which states that "DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION UNTIL ONE WEEK AFTER YOUR MEDICAL EXAMINATION IS COMPLETED"
Thanks for the response. I finally found it in the Brochure for "Study Permit - University students" brochure (MM5957E) you specified.
But the brochure which I was referring was "Study Permit - Student Direct Stream" (IMM5976E) which does not have this line. Will it still be applicable to SDS stream??

yes you can.. but you have to pay full year fee too then you can apply through SDS
do you know, how to get that. i don't know anything about this.

You will get mail of GIC certificate and you can print it and attach with your file

i am going to apply online under SDS. is there any specific form that you have to fill or they will decide once they see our application. if its qualify under SDS they treat for SDS if not then go with normal process.

I have same conditione as you have paid gic on 16 and recived TT copy on 17tg july now it’s 26th but haven’t word from scotia yet..
