NOC Code......

Hi Guys

Got my ITA in the second draw in June.

I have been arranging for all the documents and i have a few doubts:

1. I had applied in NOC 3012 (Registered Nurse) since I am a registered nurse in India, however, it was only after ITA that I realized that all my work experience is in NOC 4012 as i have only taught in nursing colleges where it is mandatory to be a registered nurse in India. Both NOC codes fall under category "A". I have mentioned in the eAPR and will include a LOI mentioning the same. Is this ok?

2. During my medical exams, they found sugar in my urine exam. A re exam was conducted (results to which I can't access) along with serum Creatinine test (which was normal). Will this be an issue? I never knew about my elevated sugar levels and have got it checked later and found out that I maybe a pre diabetic (surprise surprise)

3. I intend to move to Canada with my spouse and all our funds are in her name. Is it ok if I ask her for an affidavit stating that she is ok with me using the funds or should I convert the account into a joint account?

4. My work experience is from two colleges, both aren't very famous and although legitimate, being from a small town, are smaller. My employment is genuine and will receive positive response if verified (they don't really check their emails regularly so they will respond a little late).

What are my chances???

Thank you guys in advance!
Will answer the one's I can, perhaps other forum members can assist with the rest

2. Diabetes isn't usually a problem, as the costs of it usually does not surpass the limit set by CIC

3.
Either options are fine

4.
As long as your work experience is genuine, you will be fine. Attach proof exactly as CIC instructs, and there should be no problem.

As for the first question, I would search the forum for "chose wrong NOC" or something like that, and you will find an answer. Please post here what the answer is when you do, because I'm not sure either.

So a quick search reveals that is it ok to change the NOC as long as
a. Your points don't change
b. if both the NOC's are in the same category
c. You explain the situation in LOI

(Answered by most of the people, whereas, some did disagree and have suggested to withdraw the profile and wait for the next draw)

AOR June 10th, still in IP1 :(
AOR - 9th June, stuck at IP1 since 27th June. It's a test match, trim down your expectations especially if you were hoping for T20 game (sorry for cricket reference).

I asked earlier as well but had no response. Do people have specific info or stats regarding issues at London VC? Heard very negative reviews...asking as very likely that our application will end up there as both residency and citizenship is UK.

What do you mean by specific info or stats? My application will end up at London VO too, as I reside in Denmark. I've done some exploring on immitracker, and luckily for us, and unfortunately for others, it seems a big part of the delay is discrimination based on nationality and country of residence. London VO handles Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Afganistan. It seems like residents and nationals from these countries and others more often get picked out for security screening. If you sort on immitracker for residents and nationals of UK, it very rarely takes above 6 months.

That's not the case anymore.
It is still the case. Look at immitracker, majority of applications with residency in the UK have London Visa Office. Even the recent ones. But it's true, due to workload some get shifted to other visa offices. But most seem to end up in London.

Hi Guys,

Mine is 20th June AOR, MEP 5th July. Post that waiting.

I have a question for seniors especially @legalfalcon. My wife is main applicant and I am dependent. I forgot to mention my New Zealand tourist visa rejection and 10 days later when I realized this I raised a web form to update CIC along with LOE explaining my mistake and also attached rejection letter. Did I do the right thing? Also I hope it doesn't have any negative impact on my application. Please reply.
Seniors Please reply......

A personal question, you can decide to ignore it. It is very surprising for me to see a person with UK citizenship want to leave UK permanently! What made you to leave UK and move to Canada? As far as I know UK has stronger economy, stronger presence in the world politics, social benefits and pays better. As a citizen of a sub continent country I would happily take UK citizenship over Canadian one. I am really curious to know, please don't mind.

I suppose it's because there are two types of immigrants: immigrants of necessity and immigrants of adventure. I'm of the latter category. Denmark is a great place to live. I do not have to move to Canada to improve my living standards. But I want to experience living in a different country. I want to experience the Canadian friendliness, the multicultural society and the beautiful nature. Hope it makes sense.

Everyone gets it as soon as they receive an ITA (or get AOR)? It contains some information about the Job Bank, but it's just meant as a helping hand for new immigrants (in practice, I don't believe anyone ever manages to land jobs through that system)
I got mine when I moved to IP2. Seems some people get it at random times.

Hopefully there will be some progress soon! Haha, i think i am panicking because i felt my application was straight forward - 1 employer, 2 countries (India & USA) , no travel to any other country (except that i decided to get out of the airport for a super long layover, one in Dubai and one in Sri Lanka on different trips back home (India). I have mentioned the reason as layover in my application, but now i'm worried if that's the reason for delay.

I am not very familiar with the London VO process, but i see you got some great responses to that question.
