I'm wondering how long, on average, it takes before I'd be able to link my application to my account on the Canadian immigration website? My application was received on July 3rd.

Also, I forgot to mark N/A in a couple places on the checklist that goes with the application--is that something that they'd return the application for? It was #4 and #7 for part 1, and #3 in supporting documents.

Does the length of a marriage effect how long approval takes, just in terms of being able to verify authenticity? When we first got married, it was obviously harder to prove that we had a legit relationship, but it's been 17 years now, so I don't know if that matters to them or not.

She can apply for a TRV - no guarantee it will be approved.

TRPs are for people who are inadmissible to Canada (typically due to a crime).

You can certainly try for the TRV. No - there won't be any harm if one TRV is refused. However you want to avoid multiple TRV refusals (e.g. 3+) as this can make it seem like a relationship of convenience where the applicant is trying to get to Canada in any way possible.

I am currently working in Singapore and my husband is a Canadian Citizen, I cannot get a police clearance here in Singapore without a request letter from IRCC, I need to submit the consent form instead of police clearance with my application so they can release a request letter, my question is what is the consent letter that we need to submit? Hope you can help me. Thank you .

Hi Leon,

We missed the deadline for submitting the PCC(Police Clearance Certificate). However, we went ahead and submitted anyway via the web form. Though I do not know what can happen next. However, there is one more thing i.e. we had submitted the PCC with the application package, and in the email that CIC sent us to request the PCC, they did not mention why they are requesting it again. I called IRCC to see if they have received the submission. Unfortunately, they have not received that yet, even after the 10 business days. I am completely lost in this situation now. I will really appreciate if you can suggest something.

Hi guys, my wife recently submitted her passport while CIC's account shows replacement needed for "digital photos" and "passport" with the same deadline as the pasport request. Do I have to upload photos and the copy of her passport from my end?
The weird thing is they didn't mention about these on the PPR letter at all.
