Hello soubhik_1992,
Could you please help me with my queries since I have 2 degrees and one is hybrid pgdm.
1. Does iqas requires acedamic request form..I heard from 3rd party agent that many university doesn't sign this form and doesn't courier directly to iqas.
2. Do they accept package from 3rd party agent ..I am thinking of hiring them as my university is in Delhi and I am in Mumbai.
3. Does iqas send eca report to ircc directly like Wes ! Or it's our responsibility to send electronic copy to ircc? How did u process ?

1. Yes, the request. If your University doesnt send it, you go and send on behalf of your university from say the college campus post office. You have to make it seem as your University is sending it.

2. No, they do not.

3. I am not sure to this one but I believe IQAS sends it. I went through WES in the end.

Hi Shoubik

I've got 2 Degrees of B.com (from DU) and PGD (from SCDL). ICAS told me to send the assessment through your institute.
But as you suggested that post it through Campus Post office like DU (south campus). But what about another Degree SCDL, Pune.
Do i need to send separate files and separate fee as well.
Plz help.

Job Offer........

The only problem is when you will decide to Take another study, universities will require you to have IQAS they don't accept WES....

Hello,

Applying for immigration and honestly, it's total nonsense on the ECA front.

I was led to believe that IQAS would evaluate my law degree correctly. I looked up their FAQ and yes, they did award law degree from India as the Master's equivalent - which would help me get more points.

Hence, I went in for them.

A BIG mistake.

Took more than 2 months to evaluate. And finally, they REFUSED my provisional degree and cancelled the application. The reason they stated was "my degree was not awarded till my convocation takes place". Failed to explain a provisional degree is the same as a final one.

WES, on the other hand, accepts both provisional and final degree - everyone knows provisional degrees are equivalent to final degrees. It's awarded at first by the university and, after a year or two, the final degree certificates get sent.

Sure, WES fuck*d up too - gave me a Dual Bachelors' degree than a Master's one. I got around 7 points less, but the process was much faster. I had to nudge them twice, and they were 2 days late than promised, but they did it, and now I am just waiting for my ITA, with 465 points.

Just wanted to let you guys know to avoid IQAS at all costs. Delayed my process by around 3-4 months in total. Others are worse and take as much as 6 months processing time!

There seems to be no reliable evaluation agency, but if you've to go for one, WES seems to be the best bet.
Hi, can you please let me know if you got your ppr using the two or more certificates option?? I will be very grateful, thanks.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, my masters degree is not recognised as masters by Wes and instead substituted with 1 year graduate study, so does it make sense to take the risk and go for IQAS for additional 7 points or stick to WES itself? please advice. People have got masters degree with IQAS for the degree i have done. Hence the confusion whether it has to be WES or IQAS? ICES is another option but i have heard they take almost 6 months and is horrible in terms of service provided
Hi,
So, where did you get your ECA done from and what was the result? I have the same problem. Can't decide between IQAS and WES to evaluate my masters.

Hi I went ahead with IQAS. It took full 3 months, but then i got a positive result. Infact i had sent the transcripts myself and had mentioned that in the remarks. On an exception basis they accepted this as well to reduce the time required for the university to send the transcripts to IQAS directly, which can be challenging.

Hi, this is a positive news for me as we're in a similar situation. Could you please share what were your Bachelor's and Master's degrees/durations and whether you got the Master's equivalency. My spouse has got BA(3-year)+MA(2-year) full-time degrees which have been evaluated as Bachelors+Postgraduate Diploma by WES. Really can go for IQAS if they'll give Master's equivalency even if we've to wait for 3 months!

Hello all,

Having looked at the discussion threads...i have a question related to Iqas... I have sent my bachelor's and master documents for evaluation... But the issue is that at the time of sending documents i did not have my master degree so i had sent the provisional... Which now i see would not help... But i have received the degree copy now from my institution.... So should i send them the degree as a separate courier or should i wait for their respons/ querry...

Please advice dins so that i can share it as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello, Yes I moved to Canada in March this year. You will get two or more degrees and can claim points for it.
Hi
i have 1 query.please guide me.I wanted to apply for my ECA from IQAS.
i have 03 years Diploma and a bachelor degree (B.Tech)
Did IQAS evaluate these both so i can use "two or more degrees" option or they will just mentioned bachelor degree only on ECA result because on IQAS website i can see they wrote there (For an ECA, only your highest completed/awarded educational credential needs to be assessed)
i know for WES they mentioned both but for IQAS i am not sure
anyone can guide me please...

Hello,

Please guide whether I should I go IQAS or WES. As guided by my agency my PGDM in Finance from MIT School of Business, Pune is not giving a positive response and the degree is not considered. However, they said to go for IQAS where my PGDM will be considered and I will get point with two or more degree. But I am not sure if IQAS will consider my PGDM degree.

Awaiting positive revert.

Hi, need your guideline. I have done 4 years Bachelors degree and it is also equivalent to 4 years bachelors degree in Canada. If I do CSCP, will it be considered as second degree/program OR IT WOULD BE JUST A CERTIFICATE?
I am asking it because if it is considered as another degree/diploma then I'll prepare myself for its exams else I won't because I need to earn second degree/diploma for Canadian immigration to increase my points.

Sir, As I have Bachelors and Masters from two diff. universities. So, Is it really okay that we send the transcripts directly to IQAS in a single envelope rather asking universities to send them ?

I am perplexed as the IQAS site mentions the latter only
