WES ECA - For Diploma + Engineering Graduates

Hi dear,

hope you might have done your things clear. could you pls let me know that whether i need to get transcript for my diploma as well as for engineering degree or only engineering degree transcript can be evaluated if it is starting from 2nd year. Urgent reply from anybody is appriciated.

it is advised to get both evaluated as you will get extra point for adding diploma in EE profile. I have got both evaluated.

Hi All,

Earlier I made profile for my Diploma(from punjab state board) & Degree(from PTU), then Consultant told me that you will only get points for higher degree( for my case its BTech). So I deleted my Diploma education from WES profile.

Because I have done BTech(of 3years) after Diploma so I started from 2nd year onwards in BTech and sent my sealed transcripts to WES and photocopy of final degree certificate.

Now WES put my case on HOLD stating that they accepted my photocopy degree certificate but my transcript showing marks from 2nd year to 4th year.

So my status is;
Reason: The document received only contains a partial record of study. WES requires all study that led to your final qualification. We are missing information for your program. We have a transcript that begins in year two.

Instructions: Please ask your institution to send directly to WES mark sheets for all study completed leading toward your final qualification. This includes all transfer credit or prior study that granted you exemptions. If this study was completed in another country, visit the Required Documents page for the appropriate country.

My Question is:
1. Can I right an email to WES, stating that this is the final transcript from University
2. How much time they give to applicant to resolve their query
3. I deleted my Diploma education from profile , then why they are asking for diploma transcripts

Hi Hardeep,
Since you have completed both diploma as well as degree, you can get them both evaluated. WES looks for complete certificates for the period of study. As you are a lateral entry student into your degree, you will be missing your first year marksheets. You need to add your diploma certificate to your WES profile and send them attested transcript of your diploma as well. If you are a lateral entry student into diploma as well (like me), that makes things even more complicated. You need to get transcript of your HSC certificate as well. Once WES accepts you diploma, you might be able to claim extra points for it.

I am not sure why your consultant asked you to send only degree certificate. Maybe he/she is not aware of the process to be followed for cases where diploma is involved. As senior members have suggested, you can get all information on this forum.

Yes I selected "Two or more degree" and got the ITA. Now working on uploading the documentations. The ITA is just on the basis of what you have selected in the profile. So I would think the main step would come next when they review the documentations/ECA report and accept the application. I will let you know once that happens.

I am new to this forum and in similar situation.

I have done 10 + 3 year diploma (PSBTE) + 3 year degree - (Lateral entry) (joined 2nd year degree directly).

Looking at the posts looks like we get 2 year diploma + degree evaluation from WES and this would translate to "Two or more certificates diplomas or degrees". But just wanted to confirm on my understanding since this makes a big difference in the CRS score.

Can you please check and advise on this understanding? Have we seen anyone who has been able to successfully go thru the PR process with this condition?

I have done 3 years polytechnic diploma after 12th than a four-year degree.
I have already assessed my degree and got the evaluation as "Bachelor's degree (four years)" from WES.
my question is if I evaluate my 3 years polytechnic diploma will it give me an extra point for express entry, if yes how many points I can get for the diploma and degree.

i have one query related to my spouse education assessment...
She had done 10 School + 4 years diploma from shri bhagubhai polytechnic (Autonomous)
she will be secondary applicant

so while creating express entry profile in education credentials which option to be select i am very much confused..

options in drop box are as follows
1) secondary diploma (high school graduation)
2) 2 year program at university, college , trade or technical school
3) 2 or more certificates diploma or degree
etc...

so which option to select??

can anyone help me with the number that for her education how much CSR point she will get as a 2nd applicant??

and is it worth to do wes evaluation as it’s very expensive!!

please help me i’m not able to decide what to do!!

I have done Diploma of engg (3 years) and then went to 2nd year of engineering(3rd sem).

now while submitting application do i have to add credentials for diploma ? or degree would be fine and just need to send transcripts for diploma and degree?

if i have to add credentials for diploma as well then which option do i have to select in Institution Type as i have done diploma from Cusrow wadia institue of technology(Pune) as this is autonomous college?

My qualification matches exactly with you. I sent my degree for wes assesment and it is equivalent to 4 year bachelor degree. Now i am planning to send both diploma and degree so that i can get points for two degree or diploma

I have done my 3 years Mechanical Degree and WEs is asking me to submit my 1st year transcript attested from university.
But as I got lateral admission in 2nd year of engineering I can’t provide them with the following transcripts.
So just a qstn how did you get your Degree evaluated.

Needed help with procedure as I dont stay in Mumbai anymore and need to apply for leave and do all the procedure.

My qualification is exactly same as yours. I got the ECA done last year and the following is the outcome:
Diploma --> Canadian Equivalency: Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
B.Tech --> Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)
