Thread for 2017 - Dependent Child sponsorship Applications

Hi everyone! My child is 22 years old and his Ecas changed to "in process"from medical resultshave been received. Is it a good sign? His application for pr was received Nov. 22, 2017. And my ecas says, "Decision Made" and "In Process" Please help me to understand. Hoping this is good news.

Hello Everyone, how long does it take to update the online medical status after the medical is done. My daughter's medical was done on 25th June but the online status still says there is action required by us to complete the medical.

It will probably depend on how soon the doctor completes and upload the necessary information. Mine was updated within a week a few others have said within two weeks.

AOR : 6 Jun 2018
Medical request : 15 Jun 2018
Medical check performed : 20 Jun 2018
SA : 26 Jun 2018
Letter confirming VO : 26 Jun 2018 Mississauga

I have been checking my account on a daily basis but the account still shows that they are still reviewing my sponsor application and medical check has been requested ie there has not been an updated since 15 Jun for me.

Hi.. Had a query about filling form IMM1344.

My husband and I have PR and my husband is in Canada applying for sponsor our child. I'm in India with our child now and plan to move to Canada when he gets his PR.

Do we need to have a co-signer on the form? If so, could I be the co-signer though i'm not in Canada?
Also, the form says that we need to provide a declaration from non-accompanying parent if we don't have a co-signer on IMM1344.

Please help..

That is almost exactly like my daughter's timeline. I got a message from the medical center which conducted the medical test. They had updated the results yesterday. I can now see on the application that Medical is passed. I believe SA is Sponsorship Approval. I also received the email on 26th June. I didnt receive any 'Letter confirming VO' though. For Indians, it is usually a long wait after the medical. I am not stressed because we have a TRV for now.

Your husband will be the sponsor in this case. You cannot be a co-signer as you are not in Canada while the application is being made. And that is perfectly Ok. When I applied for my daughter's application in May, I also had my wife fill the 'DECLARATION FROM NON-ACCOMPANYING PARENT/GUARDIAN FOR MINORS IMMIGRATING TO CANADA'. It is form IMM5604e. You will also have to notarize the form. My wife had it couriered to Canada. I also included an explanation letter and stated that my wife will travel with my daughter when she comes to Canada. I had noticed on one or two threads that CIC had asked for it when in such cases (when one of the parent is not in Canada).

I would if I were you. So after Sep 2017 there was a period of 9 months that there is no progress/news? That is a long wait.

Yesterday i recieved letter to send passport to Ottawa. so i think process is almost finished and it took exactly 10 months and my son is 2 year old. Age doesn;t matter, they take their time

Today I finally received a letter and passport with stamp in it. But CoPR document is different from what is receved for outland applicant ?
I am confused - letter is just PR visa instruction saying to call IRCC or exit through land or air, but question is where is CoPR ? is it the visa sticker only ?

Does it mean they will send separatly CoPR as i understand for booking appointment - i need to have CoPR

can anyone please suggest who has similar experience ?
