Hello,

By the grace of almighty I got the nomination from OINP today with CRS 438, CLB 9 & NOC 2133.

Total time duration from application submission date was 88 days. Feeling quite happy and eager to make a decision I need your help. Please advice on the following or if you can point out to the correct forum or thread where these were discussed:

1. How long do you think it would take for me to get a direct ITA with CRS 438 ? I know this has no straight answer, but what is your opinion abut it ? Should I go for PNP or wait it out ?
2. Is the process time different for PNP stream candidates and direct ITA applicants by IRCC ?
3. What are the implications of accepting PNP and landing in Canada as a PNP ? What are the restrictions and obligations of a PNP ?
4. How is a PNP immigrant different from a Federal Immigrant ? Can one work or study outside the nominated province ?
5. What is your general opinion about Ontario in terms of living, working and studying (especially for NOC 2133) ?

Would really appreciate your help guys. I would like to make a decision for accepting the nomination over the weekend so I can be in-line for a PNP-ITA this Wed..

Hey are you sure OINP will be open in July.. My CRS is 417 and I wrote IELTS four times. This time I got 8.5 8.5 7 in speaking and 6.5 in writing. Also applied for Reval. Any chances of getting NOI from Ontario?? I am also appearing for IELTS again in July..

What are my chances of getting NOI from Ontario or am i eligible for any other PNP?

Not sure that impact it would have but recently elections were held in the province and the liberals lost the majority. The new government will be of the conservatives who might have a different stance on immigration and/or the number. Probably this is the reason why there were no draws since the last three months, may they want to wait for the new policy or something..

- You said you got nominated right, so that would mean 600 points will be added your score of 438...
Having said that I don't understand your question about should i go for PNP? Did you get nominated by OINP or did you get a Notification of Interest(NoI) from them ?
-Generally EE application processing time is 6 months. Some applicants get there applications processed faster some are a little slower

No that's not the reason at all. They have a fixed quota each year and and are on verge of running out of the same. They had a huge backlog of 2017 candidates as well which were nominated out of 2018 quota. If at all they will have few very nominations left which they might issue once done with current backlog. It will interesting to see when they update numbers next, as it's been a while they updated it.

I got nominated which would add 600 points to my profile upon acceptance of the nomination.

Hello, I have updated my crs score to 438 from 378 on last week of May. I thought I had a chance to get direct ITA but right now it doesn't look great. I haven't got any invitation from onip. Are they still issuing NOI for hcp candidates? Do i have any chance for onip?

OINP - They are not issuing NOIs as of now.

Your chances of OINP - Depends upon your NOC, if IT then chances are high...but there is no update list of in demand NOC published this year from Ontario ...

Could you let me know how your increased your crs from 378 to 438 (50 points increase)? I was actually hoping NOI to get issued for HCP category atleast this month, it is almost done. Not sure it will be considered in Jul-2018.

Your CRS? Mine is only 410. Evn CLB10 only gives me 416. This means chance is slim for me. With such the high draw scores in the past few months, I think those with CRS 43x will become impatient and grab right away the opportunity once they get NOI despite the high fee of $1500. If they don't, they might lose points due to birthdays or expiry of IELTS. That being said, let's keep high hope.

By the way, does anyone know how many nomination have they given out so far? Their target for this year is around 6600 (all streams), right?

I have mentioned the NOC code as 2174 as the same was mentioned in my Work Permit. As per my actual role that I am doing, it is NOC 2171. But that does not matter in my case as my CRS is well below the par CRS score of 430+

$1500 is the OINP fee for any applicant, your consultant like other always are there ready to mint money from your pocket.

It will take 8 months to finish and then I will have a CRS of 453 (points lost due to age will be offset by points given for Canadian education). If I follow this option, is there any possibility for being declined study permit because I am in EE pool? I guess I have to revoke my GC key before applying for student visa. Thoughts?

If you have major gap between the last course you attended to the current one you may have issues with the study permit
