so can you please let me know if these duties match for my NOC B
I have completed 1 year and 6 months of my job as a technical support representative at a company which falls under the NOC B code. Now I wanted to change my job to client support representative role at a different company which also falls under the NOC B code. So i wanted to know that if I make this change will it be counted as a total 2 years of experience for my PR under express entry??

Below are my current job duties for tech suppport role
  • Assists customers with installation, operational, maintenance and or training related inquiries for products and applications.
  • Researches and handles involved or complex calls as directed.
  • Follows documentation and training materials to diagnosis, resolve and escalate, when necessary, customers’ calls.
  • Enters all call activity into online Technical Support database and provides documented information to the Knowledge Base.
  • Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems both internal and external
  • Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
  • Operates under moderate supervision.
  • Develops and maintains positive customer relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure customer requests are handled appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • May schedule service calls and escalate to other departments for customer support.
  • Performs all duties on time and is proactive in improving customer relations and internal processes.
Below are the job duties for client support role
Communicating with existing clients (inbound and outbound)
Responding to client requests, tracking and reporting issues and keeping the client informed of incident progress and impending actions
Collaborating with peers regarding issues and solutions and escalating issues as required
Monitoring all of the metrics associated with commitment to the customer
Tracking and reporting program sustainability
Providing guidance, support and feedback for new programs
Identifying areas of opportunity (breadth penetration) and supporting the company’s current dealer and manufacturer programs
I can't confirm you whether your job duties matching or not but I can suggest your NOC. You should look at NOC-2282 User Support Technician. Please read the duties outlined and decide whether you are going to do it or not-

Main duties
User support technicians perform some or all of the following duties:
  • Communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • Emulate or reproduce technical problems encountered by users
  • Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Provide business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • Collect, organize and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • Participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • May supervise other technical support workers in this group.
Good Luck!

I was your reading your other post, you said that you are currently on 379 points. I guess way too low... even after you add work ex points etc, I highly doubt you will have enough points.

Am I missing something here ?
Actually you got it right currently i have 395 points with 1 year experience and i will get extra points if i work for 2 years that is the reason i am confused if i should make a move or not

Even with 2 year work experience, I read that it will be 13 additional points. (40 points for 1 year and 53 for 2 years)

Yes. You got it, but not bursting your bubble, If you're at 395, then when reaching 2 yrs you would get an additional 13 points. SO, that would put you at 408, you can try AINP or PNIP or ONIP programs . Also CELPIP or IELTS to boost your score. I am at 437 and I am going to try IELTS for the first time . If it wasn't for my age I would have had a chance , but such is life. Don't make the mistakes I have, try to capitalize all resources to boost your score.

Ok I don't know who's advising you bro, but you have to take a step back. Think this through.
Degrees and upper would give you points . Yes.
But doing ietls and celpip , don't require bachelors. I don't have a degree , I have Canadian Diploma , major in Telecom and international certs in IT..
If you have certs or a diploma from your home country, that may warranted for points, get them evaluated by WES and get additional points.
If you can do a 2 yr diploma in Canada or a 3yr degree , more points for you. It's all about your budget. Do IETLS first, boost your score, you're working and you can attempt pilot or provincial nominee programs.

I have done all I can right now. At 440. I could gain 3 more points with higher ielts results but next sitting is in October. Have my masters. I don't know what else to do but try to study in Canada.
I am from Trinidad as well, I have options for BSc or MBA, but financially wise, IETLS is my go from 437 to move up quickly.
