Hi guys just sharing some knowledge and personal experience regarding a question I asked before: my oath was scheduled for May 16th and I had work travel plans planned on the same day at night. I didn’t want to postpone the oath, after all the day I waited for for so long and couldn’t postpone work travel. I asked if I can do the other and travel at night without Canadian passport and apply for a passport at the embassy where I’m traveling. I got mixed answers and wasn’t sure if I could but I needed to travel and couldn’t postpone. I did travel eventually, since I was a dual citizen and used my passport from my home country to leave Canada. Big risk because I didn’t have my PR card anymore and no Canadian passport. Basically no means to re-enter Canada. As soon as I landed I called the embassy and told them I’m a Canadian citizen (proudly) and need to apply for a passport. They said no problem. I filled the form and sent my application. Less than two weeks (including mailing time) I received my very first Canadian passport. It works!!! Not saying people should do that but in my case I had no choice but to travel and i did. It was a risk but I knew I’m a Canadian citizen. There must be a way to re enter Canada. Now I have my passport and will be back in Canada June 25th. No issues. My journey is OFFICIALLY complete. Good luck to you’all
Thanks for your testimony.
Unfortunately, some people's travel plans (mine, for example) rarely include trips that long that it will be possible to wait two weeks for a passport issued by a consulate in a foreign country. And dealing with consulates and embassies can be problematic in some countries where infrastructures (banks, postal service, telecom) are not efficient. It's good to know that this is a possibility, but I'm not sure how many people could benefit from it.

I got test invite today for June 27th In Mississauga however I applied from Toronto . For those who have done the test before what original documents do they want, especially if all documents were placed in application package. Also did people get their stamps in their passport translated? I have a few Spanish stamps and Turkish (Those show clearly the dates of entry and exits).
You are to come to the test center with all the original documents used in support of your application.
Please translate all non-English or non-French stamps.
Good luck

I have a few questions regarding Form CIT 0002e if any one can help please.
I came to canada in feb 2015 as a permanent resident . Before that i used to live in pakistan. My eligibility period starts from june 2013, which includes those 2 years when i was living in pakistan before getting PR.

Q10b. In past 4 years were you in another country other than Canada for a total of 183 days? Yes or No
After becoming Permanent resident i visited pakistan 3 times but it was less then 183 days in total.. but if i include 1 year before becoming permanent resident it is more than 183 days. What is the apropirate answer to Q10b? Yes or No?
If i say yes then do i have to send police clearance certificate? If yes orignal or photocopy?
Thank you so much for your help :)
You are to submit the original copy of PCC from your home country since the instruct says last 4 yrs.
Good luck

You are certainly one of the lucky ones. I have a RQ responded since over a month & no response on it yet.

Wish my situation is like your eventually.

When did you receive RQ? Before test/interview or after test/interview?

My application has been in process since Jan 15th. Is there any point in calling CIC to inquire about my application or should I keep on waiting?
