I call 001-613-944-4000 i goes to global affairs then keep on pressing ivr 11111122
I guess for immigration n citizenship canada n then they ask for application no. N then ask to press 0 to speak to an agent . After this whole mind storming process they just say we cant transfer ur call to agent coz. Of overload of calls
Is this the right process to talk to an agrnt or there is any other ?
Help me out
Thanks

Nice. Let us know what agent speaks to you about eligibility and your bgc status
He said my visa office is MEXICO. Looking at the tracker, there are only 2 cases (FSW), both from Brazilian applicants (I am Brazilian too). It took 105 and 118 days for them, so I am a little disappointed, as I was expecting something closer to 60... :(

He said they are still doing my criminality check - they asked for my wife's criminal record in Canada, as we lived there some years ago - I sent the documents one month ago, he said it was ok

So, there is a good chance that I will have to wait until August... let's hope not!

I am on the phone with them now. It is the right number, but it takes a lot of patience to not get the "we can't transfer you" message. I called them 5-10 times per day, for a week, until getting lucky today. Then, you have to wait for one hour or more to actually speak to somebody....
True
You are in Canada so 1 888 number works for people out of Canada the number is 1 613

Yes right, sorry didn’t realize that.

Hey GCMSBuddy what all info can one get in the GCMS notes ? Me and Ajeet were contemplating going for it, but would like to know what info does it contains
The notes have a lot of information right from the date you created the EE profile. The important ones are the current status, visa office, what part of the process is complete, what did the case analyst, program assistant and/or visa officer wrote as comment while doing the R.10 and eligibility check etc.

Hello all,
I might be asking a silly question but anyways i will feel better if somebody can help me.
My pr application is in process and my background check has not started yet.
So i have been using IRCC automated telephone system daily for last few weeks to know my status. Also i talked to an agent but just once.
Most of time i am using automated telephone system.
Can anybody tell me, can my action affect my application or can it have any bad effect or there is no effect and i should not worry.
Will appreciate any help
Thank you

I don't think it affects your application at all, for two reasons -

1. As the automated telephone system is equivalent to looking up your application status online
2. Even if you are speaking to an agent, there's a disclaimer/information when you are in a queue to speak to an agent mentioning clearly, that the agent can in no way have any say in your application processing timeline or decision.

That being said I feel regularly calling the agents is a waste of your own time too and an unwanted burden on the already huge queries being answered by the agents so refrain from doing so for the better of the process in place. So to say use the provided facility wisely without abusing it. Cheers and all the best for your application!

Hello Friends,

Apparently, there is no change in today's update. Only they tweaked way our application page looks on their site. I was expecting some update today!! Fingers crossed, and good luck to all of you!!
