Me too. I wonder what's affecting our application..

last year, I was so happy because I got FN on March and they send me medical request only 3 month after which is in June 2017. I thought CIC is really take seriously by finish within 12 months. I know each cases is different but why people applied on April or May got DM or some of them landed but Feb or March applicant are still waiting .

I sent criminal check 18 months ago and still nothing, and you guys are worried about 2 months

So what? You talk like is not extremely frustrating to wait more than most of the people... Everybody here is tired, stressed and just want to move on with life as I think you do too so I believe we have the right to be worried as much as we want.

This forum was created to help and support each other, if bothers you that some people are sharing their experience and frustration then I think you are in the wrong place.

We are February 24th Applicant, we are still waiting..After expecting it to be done in 12 months, this makes it very difficult to sit still.

I’m sorry about that! Have they at least started to review your eligibility? (Im March 15)

Do you have your OWP letter and the letter that states they've extended your ETA? Just have that on you - my partner wasn't asked for anything when we just re-entered but we brought those letters just in case.

Yeah the ETA is linked to your passport so I suppose the letter isn't necessary. When we got the OWP the letter in our online account says: document to travel or reenter Canada - "a study or work permit is not a travel document. To allow you to reenter into Canada by air only, we have issued you an ETA when we issued your permit extension. Your ETA is linked to the passport you used to apply." it then lists his work permit and his new ETA, which is valid until 2021.

So as long as your ETA is valid you should have no issues at the border. We brought the letters just in case.

Got the letter this morning letting us know that processing is complete and our local IRCC office will contact us for landing interview. You were right. we will be going through the Vancouver office

against the odds, got my landing letter from surrey. landing on June 4th.

UPDATE: I received an email from the MP office "IRCC confirmed that Criminality and Security assessments are in progress on the file.The Eligibility review was started on March 1st and an update on the Eligibility is expected at some point this month.They mentioned the Eligibility assessment includes review of a non-accompanying child."

I don't know what it does mean, but I received more info than I got from the Call Center an the official took a look of my file. Hopefully I receive any news soon

I'm the person being sponsored, May 11, 2017 applicant.

On May 9, 2018 I got a letter confirming that I am officially eligible to apply as a member under Family Class. I just need to meet the other requirements in order for them to make a decision.

TWO DAYS LATER, on May 11, 2018, the sponsor side status changed to Decision Made, but haven't received any letters regarding that.

I just wanted to share my experience with them so far, so other people can read it and might benefit from it.

AIP doesn't happen until around 11-12 months mark from date of app received. You have more waiting to go.

I have read some people were talking about Etobicoke or Miss office, I don't get it... Are these offices for the final interviews or something?

It depends on which province and city you are in. I live in Toronto, so when they made a decision on my file they sent it to Etobicoke office because it is the closest one to me. That's where they conduct final interviews and relationship interviews (if applies).
