Hello everyone!

I need an urgent advise. I submitted my OINP application by March 15 which is more than 45 days by now with 'Submitted' stage still. My score is 438. I have called the Ontario office and they said if I withdraw my application now, I will get a refund in two weeks. What do you think of the chances me getting a direct ITA in next two months? Anyway, Ontario goes slow as snail for me.

Do you think it's good idea to go for 1500 CAD and wait for an ITA?

Please suggest me before they move the status from Submitted to assessment.

Hi. In my opinion, 438 is a good score which should get you ITA this month (May), latest should be in June.

I suggest you wait for ITA instead. I am currently on 433 and still hopeful for an ITA on or before August. You stand a greater chance.

Cheers!

We have had a few three draw months in the past, so, hoping for the same here. Nothing is confirmed here, that's why the name of the thread is "Hope".
True that! But looking at the current trend ... I feel last year was completely different... Want to be realistically hopeful! :)
Just when we were hoping the cut off to reduce.. they reduced the cut off with the tiebreaker .. which was not expected at all !!!

Though I do wish the cut off reaches 430's soon ! I am at 438 myself ! :D

Help needed while filling out the PR CEC Inland Application

Guys I received my ITA on April 25, CEC Inland, when I filled up the application and got the document checklist but there isn't any field to upload my police certificate, not even for my home country or country of residence.

Maybe because when I came to Canada I was 18 yr 1 mo. old & then I visited my home country three times (total of five months in three visits)? I never lived in my home country (or any country other than Canada) for 6 continuous months after my 18th birthday.

Please advise.
Hi someone posted a link a couple of pages back about not needing a police certificate if you are in Canada so maybe that is why they didn' all for one.

No 6 months requirement is only for PCC from country of residence, in your case where India is not a country of your residence it is valid as long as you do not visit India again before you submit the application post ITA. In other words it should be issued after you last visited a country,
Thanks.

So i no need to go for new PCC.

Anybody sumbitted PCC which was issued more 6 months?

Guys, I have a question about PCC. I've been living in the USA since 2013. I went to India for a month in 2014. Since then, I've been in the USA. Never traveled out of the country.

My question is, can I get the PCC from the FBI? Would that be sufficient? It says on the IRCC website that I can get one from the FBI.
Also, how long does it take to get the PCC from FBI?

I submitted on 21 March but mine is in assessment. I think you have forgotten to send a copy of ECA to OINP. Just check and get done with the same.

Hi,
Traditionally first draw month, the trades nominations go first right?? So ideally 89th draw is not for FSW right??
Do we expect that to go tomorrow?? If so, do we still go next week?? Back to backs???
Or if they push trades draw next week, we will have a draw week after n that may increase the crs again right??
Just hoping they fine a chance to ppl below 440s atleast once this year.

Assuming that you are from India, you need to get PCC from Indian consulate(Just take your passport and they will give you PCC sameday) also. For FBI online request it takes 7 days once your finger prints reaches them.

Great! Yeah, I didn't send it. May I know what will be the "Attention to" name for sending the duplicate to Ontario MCIIT?

Actually, the real reason for higher cut offs is higher competition and more people getting into the pool. There are others reason like better management of invitations, introduction and better regulation of tie-breaker etc. but all those play important but a small part. Trend from last year is different for various reasons.
I hope there are three draws this month. They have to have some frequent draws to reach their yearly limit. They could that by increasing the draw size too. Both achieve the same thing more or less.

Correct. You need PCC from every country you stayed longer than 6 months. Since, you lived in US from 2013 you need a FBI fingerprint clearance and you obviously lived in your home country (India or ...) before that (obviously more than 6 months), so you need a PCC from India as well, which you can get in India or at a Indian Embassy in the US.
