Peculiar Situation - Visa, Inland PR!

Hi all! I would really appreciate if you could break down the following for me:
Can a person leave the country and then re-enter if she has a 10 year multi-visa, but applied Inland for a PR? So, my wife has been in Canada on a visitor visa for 4 months now and we have received an AoR for her PR application. I am wondering, if it would be ok if she left the country before the 6 month mark and return in 3 weeks? Or, should we just apply for extension of stay and not leave the country until the receipt of PR?

She can leave but if she is refused re-entry, the inland app is abandoned. Chances of being refused re-entry are low but it is always a possibility, so that is a decision that you guys must make.

Why did she not apply for an OWP with the inland app?

She did. But we should receive it in 2-3 months at the earliest. Her trip is planned for middle of May though. So, what would you say could be the reason for refusal to re-enter Canada? She holds a valid 10 year visa, her husband is a PR...I mean, is there a legitimate reason to not let her in?

They could refuse her re-entry for any of the normal reasons that they refuse someone. Having a valid visa simply allows her to board a commercial carrier to travel to Canada. A PR spouse gives zero rights for a person to enter Canada.

Thank you for the response. Just to clarify, what exactly is a normal reason for refusal? I usually write a letter for the immigration officer that she is my wife and will be staying with me during the time of her stay in Canada. They seem to accept it as valid reason and let her in. She has already entered Canada twice during the past 12 months. So, what can change this time?

Well, they like it better for people to have an official document like a Visa Extension or Work Permit or sth.
Also the more you go out and come back the less they like it.

But it aldo doesn't mean she will be refused, the problem.is nobody can tell..

If she really needs to leave then have everything ready, your letter and other documents you think could be useful
