SOWP expiring: MAY 2025 Inland applicant*

Hi everyone,

SOWP expires next month, and we still haven’t received any update from IRCC on our inland spousal PR application (submitted May 5, AOR June 5).

It's still showing Background: In Progress.

Should I apply to extend the SOWP now, or would it be better to wait for the PR decision? I’m concerned that waiting could leave me without a valid work permit if the PR takes longer.

Any ideas?

It's always a good idea to have legal status during the process.

Applying to extend the SOWP will do that; not doing that...will not.
