I’m currently in the middle of an Outland PR application process and recently submitted my Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) application. I have a question regarding address verification and proof of cohabitation.
When I submitted my SOWP application, the only document I had available to verify my address in Canada was a Rogers bill, which I uploaded. Shortly after submitting (the following month), I received my Canadian bank statement showing my current address.
My questions for the community or anyone who has been in a similar situation:
1- Address Verification: Is a single utility/telecom bill (Rogers) considered sufficient by IRCC to establish physical presence/address in Canada for an SOWP submission?
2- Proof of Cohabitation: Do I need to proactively submit additional proof of cohabitation for the SOWP, or is the declaration on Form IMM 5707 (where my wife’s address matches mine) sufficient alongside the primary Outland PR file?
3- Webform Update: Should I raise a Webform to submit my recent bank statement as additional proof, my wife proof of address, or is it better to leave the application as-is unless IRCC issues a Request Letter (ADR)?
Any insights, past experiences, or advice on whether to proactively upload the bank statement via Webform would be greatly appreciated!
