I am so sorry to hear that!

Jaywill was very lucky!

I'd like to be agree with you on the moving of the Paris VO. If you are sure that they are moving, probably that explains the wait.

Having said that, I have learnt that sometimes the ECAS is not updated regularly, so your application must be in BG check without you knowing (possibly)!

There is no way that you/us could find out whether the application is in BG check by checking the ECAS. The only ways to find out if BG is in process is either by linking the application (GCKey) or by ordering the GCMS notes which will take 30 plus days.

Do you have a representative who acts on your behalf or not?

Is your VO Paris too?

Please advise if your application is linked!

God speed

Thank you ! No i don't have a representative we filled the application together with my wife they asked for 3500$ lol so we chose to do it by ourselves, yes my VO is Paris, they are normally speed ;and my application is linked to GCKEY Since AOR1,i have very rich travel history over 30countries and also i haven't paid RPRF upfront also the moving etc,so i'm stuck in BGC

Hi guys, my wife and I married July 2016, tried to do a visitor visa an failed in September 2016, hired a lawyer to do another visitors visa as he said the Financial part would be very easy but then had no one willing to help us with that so we started filling sponsorship forms submitted my wife's application by September 6, 2017 Note, they kept changing the forms as we would get them completed, even when I submitted my application I found out that they charged the forms in the summer but they ended up accepting everything, another note, I put everything in individual white folders 7 in total I believe and printed on the front of each folder with my printer to look very professional and organized. I was advised by the lawyer not to do so as the rules state to put everything in order all in one big envelope and thank God they accepted it. I did it my way and I guess they seen the good in my organization skills.

October 16, 2017 request for Schedule A Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) and police certificate from her country.
November 3, 2017 we received a letter saying that our application was being forwarded to the Singapore office for further processing.
February 5, 2018 request letter for medical examination but we didn't find the email until March 11 because I was visiting my wife in indonesia at the time and had no internet and missed that email. We got the medical examination done rate away March 16, and submitted by March 18, 2018 by the hospital. By March 20, they updated her online account and she passed her medical examination.
April 3, 2018 we sent them an update letting them know that we are expecting and my wife is 5 weeks pregnant and hope to be together as soon as possible. So excited
April 19, 2018 we received an email for police certificate of clearance for Singapore and Hong Kong and a letter for the Singapore police department but no letter for Hong Kong police department.
We tried to start the process for Singapore even though she was under the age of 18 during her stay there.

þ Original Good Conduct Certificate (or Certificate of No Criminal Record) from the police authorities of SINGAPORE & Hong Kongwhere you, your spouse/common-law partner, and each of your dependent children who is 18 years of age and older, have resided for aperiod of six months or more since turning 18.
We can't start the Singapore because we need a fin number and have no way to get it.
April 20, 2018 we received an email or Pre-approval services.

We called Singapore police department and talked to them and they advised us to email Canadian Immigration and as for another way as I did so Friday and today and asked if they still want the singapore certificate since she was under 18 as well as requested a letter for Hong Kong. We are still waiting for a proper reply.

I am truly hoping for a fast approval now. I don't know what you guys are talking about with the passport request on here? What is that about guys? Feel free to email me to give any tips or anything at dustin.hebert@hotmail.com

The next few weeks will be busy trying to complete these requests. I have no idea if I need to complete the Singapore police certificate yet. Getting kinda worried about that now.
I hope this helps you guys with timelines

Congrats to you!

If the applicant is not from the visa exempt countries, on approval, the Visa Office (VO) will ask the applicant to send his/her passport in to put/stick the visa in the passport. The applicant have 30 days to send the passport in. This stage is called PPR( Passport Request).

Hope this answers your question.

I had a similar mistake on IMM5662. I corrected it and resent it through contact us web form. For your time spent in Canada, they usually don't ask for a PCC

Hi there,

How fast your BG check is going to take, depends on how many countries you have lived or visited before applying for PR.
No one can give you an idea of how long it is going to take, as you are an outland applicant, you should know that it will take 12 month to receive your PR. If you are lucky it may take less than a year, like 10 month.
Based on experience and with all due respect to all the members here, I advise you not to take anyone’s word including myself, about how long it will take to get PR.

If your BG is in progress, then it is in progress. As soon as your case worker gets the result, he/she will move forward and updates you.

You can always order your GCMS notes from IRC.

As your application was submitted in July 2017, you need to check the thread for July 2017 applicants and see how the other applicants are doing.

All you/we can do is JUST be patient and hopeful that soon we hear the good news.

Kind regards

Revenant
