Dear Friends,

I got request for "Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints." today .
I have below Question (Appreciate if some one can guide me )
My AOR- 2nd March 2018
1) Do This certificate required only for Principal applicant or for Dependent also (including child)?
On the letter which I have received from IRCC , UCI number is mentioned only for me( Primary applicant)? Please advise whether my spouse/kid also requires rcmp( They are staying in canada for more than 6 months)
2) In CIC Website it is written I can get Police certificate by two method ( accredited companies or by police services).Which one is fast and what is basic difference?
6) Last but not least can some one suggest me any agency name near Mississauga?

Thanks in advance.

  1. the request letter will state who has to get the RCMP report
  2. check the rcmp website for a complete list of accredited companies. I dont think there is much difference between the two. your digital fingerprints will be taken and the application for the criminal record check will be submitted with the fingerprints. if you have never been fingerprinted before or have no criminal history in canada, you will receive the report within 2 weeks.
  3. from the list of accredited companies provided, you can google which one is closest to you.

Dear Friends,
I got request for "Police Certificate: A certified RCMP criminal record check based on fingerprints." today .
IRCC does name-based checks on ALL applicants. This means that someone with the same name as you has a record, and you need to be cleared based on fingerprints. That is why you are getting the request, it is not required of all applicants.

1) Do This certificate required only for Principal applicant or for Dependent also (including child)?
On the letter which I have received from IRCC , UCI number is mentioned only for me( Primary applicant)?
Only you (the individual(s) specified in the request letter).

2) In CIC Website it is written I can get Police certificate by two method ( accredited companies or by police services).Which one is fast and what is basic difference?
6) Last but not least can some one suggest me any agency name near Mississauga?

Google it - you can use any of the companies listed here -

Can you tell me which company? Also, do you receive it in the mail or is it an electronic copy?

Thanks
