Pre-Assessed..
Submitted my fingerprints on April 3 and today the agent confirmed that they have received the fingerprint report from RCMP and is on file. The agent told me too that the background check is divided into two and that the security check is complete while they are working on the criminality check which will be complete once the fingerprint results are reviewed. I guess this is good news.

Hello Guys,

Anybody still waiting test invitation? I did my FP and sent to RCMP on Jan 15, and RCMP confirmed that my FP was checked and sent to CIC office

in St.Clair, Toronto on Jan 17, 2018. Almost 3 months since I sent FP and still In Progress since Dec 16, 2017 on my ECAS. It takes longer than I

expected!! Nothing to do but just wait though. Location is Kitchener.

I am still waiting .... I still do not understand how there seem to be no definitive pattern from these offices

Hello!

Did my test yesterday at 1:00 at Scarborough, here's the summary:
- Study: read the booklet twice, listen to specific topics 2-3 times, did online tests 2-3 times.
- Test: Super easy. In and out in ~7 minutes, got 20/20
- Interview: Super easy. In and out in ~5 minutes. I had over 20 trips abroad so I put stickies on each page indicating where the stamp was for each trip. He didn't even review them. He took a couple of photocopies of my passport and that was it. I signed some papers (that I didn't read - lol:oops:) and done!

Easy breezy... whish everyone to have the same experience! ;)

Took my oath on 10 April in Hamilton, Ontario. Yes, I'm a Canadian now. ❤❤ There were about 56 candidates. Took about an hour to check everyone in. Be sure to take your PR Card and additional 2 pieces of ID along with your Landing Paper or COPR. After the check in, the ceremony lasted about an hour. Most people were in semi formal dress code. I saw like 2 or 3 people in jeans. I personally rocked a suit with tie. Overall, I want to thank everyone for sharing their timeline and experiences so help one another. This is Canada. We look out for each other and I'm proud to be a Canadian.
