After I ordered my GCMS notes both times, I received updates from them after a few days. I hope yours would be the same too.

Good Luck!

Yes that's normal. I'm a July applicant too (31st), I submitted schedule A + Canadian police certificate in October and they've been processing my background check since December too. They asked for medicals last week and I did them last Friday, but the clinic takes 10 days to submit them.
Nice, keep me posted here in this forum. I did mine medical few days ago. I will update my process once I have any news.

I spoke to the call centre the other day to ask for an extension on my medical exam. I asked if me taking longer to give them my medical would delay my overall application and he said no. He said that regardless of when the medical is done, the 12 months is still the expected timeframe for the application to be completed
thats a good thing to know that even with some delays from our side to provide documents it takes 12 months

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a good day.

I have a couple of questions, see if someone can answer them.

1. I sent my application on October, 2017. On December, they returned my OWP app because there was a fee that I forgot to pay for. They asked me to complete it and send the whole OPW app to a different office. I sent it on January. I haven't heard from them yet. I was wondering if someone has had a similar experience and has any idea of the time that it takes to get the OWP by resubmitting it to the other office. Do they usually send a AOR? It's been 2 months and I haven't heard anything!

2. The other question is about visa extension. When I applied I was almost out of visitor status, so I requested a visa extension to avoid any trouble in case they return or stop my application. This new extension expires at the end of May. Can I request another extension? Would that be necessary since my application is in process? Any thoughts/adivce/feedback in this matter would be appreciated!

Thanks so much for reading, I appreciate the help I get on this forum. Good luck and patience to everyone!!

My situation is very similar to yours. I originally submitted my application in Oct 2017. OWP application was returned due to insufficient fee in Dec 2017. By that time, I was already out of status (my old status expired in end of Oct). I resent my full application to Vegreville in December. In Feburary, I was able to link my CIC account to OWP application. Two weeks ago, my OWP was approved. I got them in mail in the following week.

Since you're able to link to your account, that means your application got accepted. just give them some time. You are still in status now, so don't worry too much :)
