PR card and school area linked?

Hi,
We have received our PR visa and will be flying to Canada in April. We have been told that we need to apply for the PR Card using a Canadian address when we land and that *same* address/area will be the one we'd need to register our kids' schools at. Is this correct? Thanks in advance!

No, that's not correct. These addresses are completely unrelated. Many people use a friend's or relative's address for PR card delivery while they are arranging the permanent settlement.
