Can you please share your timeline? I just received a Medical request from CIC today. Can you please tell me if there anything should I pay attention to get the Med exam quickly?

July applicant here, and I just received the Medical Request this morning.

But my question is, on the IMM1017 form, it's showing my original country address, not the Canadian address.
Is this matters. ????

Thanks

Mine address is my current address which is in Quebec... So I would call CIC if I were you...

It looked like that:

Application received: April 5, 2017
Request for Schedule A + PCC + CSQ : May 16 2017
All uploaded early June 2017
Medical request: Novembre 21th 2017, passed the week after
Received DM on ECAS last week
Received the landing interview email today

As far as tricks for Medical, well, it was all very simple.
We just booked an appointment with the closest doctor from the CIC list...

Good luck!

Thank you! It sounds like no drama on this step like when we filled all the previous forms.

I just wonder one thing, the instruction said:
"What must I bring to my appointment?
IMPORTANT: If you have a previous or existing medical condition, bring any medical reports, test results or prescriptions
that you may have with you to your appointment. This may help reduce the time it takes for your application to be
processed.
• The attached Medical Report form (IMM1017E)
• Identification, including your passport if one is available. Proof of identity must include at least one

government-issued document with photograph and signature, such as a passport or driver’s license.
•..."

All of my passport, ID, and drive license in Vietnam - my country don't have signature on it. Can I bring my marriage certificate instead?

July Applicant and I just got my medical request too!

Does anyone have recommendations for physicians in the GTA or Markham/Richmond Hill area? I know there's a list on the CIC website, I'm just wondering if some places are faster than others (eMedical instead of mailing results)

EDIT Nevermind I found one and just booked it! Apparently even with eMedical they take 7-10 business days to submit it. Oh well

Wife has booked her medical but couldn't get in for 3 weeks (and only 1 place close by so had no choice), so more waiting lol

Cost is $175 for the medical, + whatever the cost the hospital charge for bloodwork + xray which is a few hundred I imagine!

Maybe cheaper, the place I just booked my appointment at charges $40 for Xrays. Bloodwork and urine sample are included in the medical exam ($180)

I did a medical a few years ago (expired now) and it's just a chest xray, not a full body scan. So it's not as expensive.

Not sure as she was told it was $175 for medical + would be billed seperately by the hospital for the bloodwork and x ray. No big deal as it has to be done at what ever cost, just happy to finally see some movement!
