Hello everyone,

I mailed CIC and got to know that my case is at CIO-Sydney. I submitted my application on 19-Feb. The current status in my CIC login is as follows:

Application status We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Can anyone help me what it means when they say the case is at CIO-Sydney when the background check is in progress. Shouldn't the case be at CPC/CVO at this stage?
I'm in the same situation. AOR 12-Feb. As per my conversation over a call with IRCC agent, They mentioned files are no longer transferred to CPC/CVO and the Ottawa office has been given access to the files at the centralised location based on the different stages of processing instead. If you have already seen some updates in your account, be positive and your file has been accessed by the VO. Agent has specifically mentioned that file location might show in the system as CIO-Sydney irrespective of stage the file is processed.

Guys, where does one need to upload their additional documents (In my case its the Singapore PCC)?

Thanks!
You would have an option enabled in the Documents upload section to upload the ADR.

Did you get your Singapore PCC? How long did it take after being issued? I too am waiting for my Singapore PCC.

Thanks for the reply. I am also waiting for my Singapore PCC. Have mailed my fingerprints from New Delhi earlier this week. I hope to receive the PCC in a 3-4 weeks time.

Hi,
I got ITA on 10th January 2018
I submitted all the docs along with fee on 8th Feb 2018.
I got my AOR on 8th Feb 2018 itself
My current status as on 9th March 2018 is:
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I had submitted all the relevant docs like PCC and my pay stubs along with the letters from the employer etc etc.
Does this mean that i do not have to submit any more documents since it has already been a month and if they had wanted any more documents they would have informed me by now.
Or can they still need/ask for more documents and the "Review of additional documents" status is not final?
Thanks

Just got the golden email!

Feb 27 was definitely not a glitch!

Today I logged into my account and it showed an update but my profile was still on ip2. Approximately 5 hours later I got the email.

The whole process (AOR to PPR) only took 26 days. Unbelievable.

However, road to Canada for us started in 2015, we spent so much time, energy and money on this but finally we got it. This forum has been priceless throughout this journey so I want to thank you guys for sharing your experiences, it means A LOT! I don’t think that I could have finished that application without consulting this forum :) I wish everyone on this forum to get their email in the end, all I can say is be patient!

Oh by the way, this is my second ITA and application, my first one got “canceled as incomplete” because of an expired police certificate. Got back into the pool, had to do everything all over again.. So never ever give up!

And here is my timeline:

FSW-Inland
AOR - 10 FEB 2018 (RPRF paid upfront)
Medical Passed - 19 FEB 2018
IP1 - 19 FEB 2018
NA2 - 21 FEB 2018
IP2 - 27 FEB 2018
PPR - 8 MARCH 2018

(Sorry for the long post, I’m a bit emotional right now hehe)

- P.S. I also cross posted this to another topic, hope that’s okay..

Hi,
Many congratulations :)
So i believe this short Turn Around Time was possible because you applied from within Canada (inland)? Since i am applying from India and after 1 month the application is still in process. Is my thinking correct?

I’m sure it affects the process because if I’m not mistaken Ottawa office has reviewed my application and they say it is the fastest one. I’m also currently working in a well-known Canadian media company, I personally think that might have helped their decision in terms of having less concerns about me getting settled in Canada. But that’s my opinion, I have no proof for that

Hey guys, I had submitted the application on 8th Feb and my medicals got approved on 16th Feb. I was moved to IP2 on 27th Feb and now waiting eagerly for PPR. Do you guys think, I would be able to get it this week itself?
I have exactly the same timeline with respect to AOR. I got AOR on 8th Feb.

How do you know you are in IP2 ? i have one more question.
Thanks
