Hey everyone!

Wondering if any folks can help or had a similar experience:

I submitted my PR application back in March last year and shows "application received" on March 14th 2017. Did my medical a few months ago and it passed fine.

Timeline on the online tool says 12 months for whole process but it's been like 11 months and 2 weeks for me with nothing from them except "received" and "medical passed" on my profile.

I have a trip booked to Italy end of March - anyone who submitted around March 2017 been approved yet? And anyone on here ever had problems getting back into the country on a spousal sponsored open work permit linked to PR application when returning from vacation with the spousal sponsor?? I'll be travelling with my spouse for 2 weeks and getting a little panicked!!! These guys really leave it to the last minute on the year mark :(

Cheers and all the best!

I know of some Mar 1 and Mar 2 applicants who received a decision a few days ago (Feb 14-16), they're definitely working on March applications right now, my bet is you'll received SA, AIP and/or DM in the next 1-2 weeks. Although, when they invite you for the landing interview, they will ask you if you have travel plans after landing before receiving your PR card. If you say yes, they will most likely reschedule the landing trip until after you are back from your trip, as it can get complicated to enter after landing if you don't have your PR card (they void all your permits at landing).

If you haven't landed yet, and If you are from a visa exempt country or just need an eTA, then you should be able to enter fine, with or without your OWP and with or without your spouse. If you have an OWP and also a valid TRV (for non visa-exempt countries) then you can enter easily if both are still valid.

I guess if you don't hear from them until your trip, then you should proceed on your trip, and they'll probably contact you once you're on your trip or soon after you get back since you're approaching the 1 year mark.

Ah legend! Thank you so much for the advice!

I'm from UK and my wife is Canadian, applied for an in-canada spousal application.

So you recon that it'll be fine for me to leave with my current open work permit which was given when I applied for PR so I can work while it's being processed?

So nervous and was naive to think it would take under a year when booking this trip just after one year from applying!

Thanks again guys

Hello everyone. I applied for inland sponsorship on August 30. AOR was september 5th. They requested for schedule a and pcc on november 5 and it has already been submitted. However, i have not heard from then anymore. Anyone that applied close to those dates?? Is there a whatsapp group for August or september 2017 applicants?

I hear you man, it's great news they've made improvements from the old 26 months mark and this pilot program too so not just relying on my wife's salary.

I just wish that they had some kind of system where you could see 'ok I'm on step 6 out of 9' or '85% complete' instead of the current 'submit, wait a year and pray daily'

Applicants from June/ end of May are in the same situation so I'm afraid it's still gonna be a while for you.

Exactly, I don't think I would care this much with the process timing if they wouldn't left us in the dark like this! Anyways, like you said 12 months is nothing compared with those who waited 26 months!

Keep us updated about your timeline man!
