I have received Application number and UCI and applied for Permanent Residence via paper-based provinicial program.

I have entered the correct information even though getting below error, Please advice

Based on the information you entered, we found no applications.

What do I do next?

You may have made a mistake entering your information. Go back and try to enter it again. You can only try to link an application five times in 24 hours.

What information did you put in? Keep a track of your tries in excel sheet . Most people had trouble with it. You are not alone? Don't enter birthplace info.

Thank you! I read through the posts and the information was really helpful! I linked my account and this is what I did:

Category: Permanent Residence
Sub-Category: Family Class (Spouses)

I used - Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name (the applicant's family name)
I copied and pasted exactly how it was from the email no spaces at the end
- It didn't work when I used the Application Number and UCI
- It also didn't work when I used the Application Number and family

I entered my Passport information exactly how it is on my passport. (Do not enter city/town of birth and country -- leave both blank)
- It didn't work when I used the city/town of birth and country instead of my Passport Info)

I entered the province and city where we intend to live - exactly how it was on the application

Number of family members, including the primary applicant - I entered 2 (for me the applicant and my spouse, the sponsor). We do not have any dependents or parents included on the application.
This was the key that finally allowed me to link because at first I entered 1 (only for myself). You must include the sponsor in the total.

Hey guys,

This forum is AMAZING as always. Thank you so much! I've been trying to link my application for the past 1 week but no success. Today I was able to find this particular discussion and after going through ALL the posts and replies, I finally was able to SUCCESSFULLY LINK MY ACCOUNT !!.

** Do NOT enter city/town of birth and country -- leave both blank. Also, Leave atleast 4-5spaces in city of birth column, and choose "Please Select" for Country of birth. - VIMP !!!

It SHOULD work. Good luck guys :)

After trying since the start of Jan, I finally got our APP linked!

I tried all combos, calling agents and reporting it to tech support. But finally I read something that just clicked and made me try it haha

Another poster talked about CIC having things still entered from the visitor visa they had submitted and that even though it was a spousal application to put single. So I did that and was successful with it.

I know a few times I did put single but I think I wasn't putting the right combination.

I did as followed,

App number and last name of principal applicate.

I didn't put birth place or country.
I put passport info

Then put information of province and town as per app.
Then I put SINGLE not married
Then I put 2.

And boom it worked.

Thanks for everyone's input on this. I cannot believe how many people experience a problem linking.
I just used up my 5 attempts for 24 hours.
Does anyone know if the system is 24 hours or just refreshes at midnight or so?

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to help link my spouse's application to her CIC account for over 3 months now but the search says it can't find the application and locks me out after 5 attempts each day.

I've read the previous posts and entered the Application Number, UCI, and I choose "Place of Birth".

However, you can no longer leave the City and Province blank for Place of Birth, so I had to enter her city and province.

I did change the applicants at the bottom to 2, and I've even tried entering Single and Common-Law, but it's still not working.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me here, thanks.

I linked mine without AOR using PA’s UCI number, passport info, last name in capital letters, status common law, and number of applicants 2

We linked ours with passport information, applicants 2 (Sponsor and PA). Just make sure all the information is identical to what was in your application...I believe from memory IMM0008 form. Also you are probably doing this already, keep track of any changes, lowercase vs uppercase letters, spaces, etc.

Write down each combination of information you try out and go systematically. Some information I had to put in was not logical, but the computer reading it found it correct. Try some of the information that you input when first creating your CIC account (I was single at the time and though when we applied for spouse sponsorship we were married, "single" worked). So, if you created the account before applying, try the information you used then. Frustrating business... I know. The system is looking for a specific combination that does not make sense to you I guess. Also, call CIC and tell them about the problem if you have not. Good Luck!
