Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
@razerblade Please update my status...

I gave my test yesterday Mississauga office. Exam as usual from book only.
My experience, no need to do question available on internet.
In interview, officer is surprise to see my application because she is not use to with new forms.
So she ask me too many question regarding my outside country visit where I have only two visit outside Canada in last 8 year.

Today morning, my status change to decision is made without any oath letter. Is it any problem?
My ECAS has only four line.

Expert need advice on it.

Thanks.
Updated. Congrats!!

No Problem with your file. You got DM right after the test. Now only oath invite is pending and I think you'll be Canadian in March.

As @rajmalhotra7 mentioned, your status changed to DM without being asked for additional documentation. Next step is oath. Not everyone is given an oath date on the spot at the Mississauga CPC, but you should get it soon. Congratulations, btw.

It's starting to get ridiculous. Application received Oct 25th and still no AOR. Should I be looking into contacting my MP?

Sorry to hear that. It's not fair, that you're still waiting for your AOR. Only plus side I can think of is, as soon as you get AOR, your application will be quickly put into process from what I've seen. You may even get a test invite within the same month, depending on your location. Your overall processing time would still be within 12 months ... hopefully.

As others have insinuated, contacting MPs didn't help.

Edit: @Puppy89, an October 20th applicant got AOR just today. There is still hope.

Well, from some other threads, one or two unlucky people get DM but weeks later ECAS reverted to In Process for whatever reason. Hopefully this is not the case for you @rajmalhotra7

Yeah, that was unfortunate. It seems it's the silly Scarborough CPC where that happened. First they make us wait forever to get the oath date, then at the last minute cancel it, change DM back to IP. Must be a total p*ss off for people affected by this. Incompetency runs high at that CPC.

Sucks to be processed there. I guess it's the price to pay to live in this part of the GTA.

I'd really like to know the allocation ratio of number of applications vs agents and judges at local offices nationally.

I am new to the forum, here's my timeline
App recvd - Oct 31, 2017
AOR - Dec 14, 2017
In process - Jan 23, 2017
Winnipeg

I applied for PR as an international student with PGWP. Unfortunately CIC used my previous mailing address for my citizenship application. I have no idea why they would do this dumb thing when my citizenship application clearly states my current address. Anyways I guess this address changing process delayed my timeline a bit.
You can change to current new address on line on opening eCAs

Seems like fast process and could you tell me where did you attend the test in Scarborough? i mean address for IRCC office in Scarborough.
What are the areas covered by Scarborough Visa office? I am from North York.

Can someone remind the Mississauga office that they need to step up...? The disparity in processing time between some of the offices is simply jaw-dropping.

Hi, we are a family of 3 which included my 7 year old son. Me and my spouse received our dates for the citizenship test and while I am aware, applicants under 18 years don't have to appear for a test, we have not received any notification for my 7-year old's application. The below was mentioned on our letters, which I am assuming is a generic statement applicable to someone under 18:

"If you were under 18 years of age or 55 years of age or older on the date you signed your application, you are not required to demonstrate your knowledge of Canada or your knowledge of English or French. You are receiving this notice solely for the purpose of attending an interview with a citizenship officer to verify your identity and the originals of the documents you provided with your application."

Can anyone share their experience for an applicant who is under 18 years? Thank you!
