I found this today while browsing on the Internet. No idea who the person doing the video is. However, I thought I'd share since at least some of it probably resonates with folks on the forum.

Hey guys,
So we submitted my fiance's application, and we have been requested to fill out the travel history and upload a form they have provided. We had already done this in the application in the personal history section. So wondering why it was requested again. Maybe because he has travelled a lot.

We are going to fill in the same information and upload but I had to clarify something, we submitted the application on Dec 26th and had provided all the trips until then. We got the request for the the travel history document today Jan 10th,we include any additional trips we made after that if we had.
Please advise
Thanks

I would follow the instructions as stated. If there is any uncertainty I would include a letter of explanation.

Hi guys. Is there any place I can get the digital photo as required for eAPR? Will Costco or CVS provide it to me or should I just scan a real photo?

Hey guys, I have a tax related question and I'm guessing someone might have already got the answer. I own a house in US, currently living in US on h1b and working towards Canada PR. If I sell the house I won't have to pay tax for the profit I make on house sale here in US because i lived more than 2 years (as per the IRS tax laws). My question is, if I sell the house after moving to Canada will I still have the tax benefit or will have to pay tax in Canada. Someone might have already gone through this, so checking. Thanks.

We'll be selling our house in the US soon too and I was given advice about it in this thread: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/401k-us-stocks-and-us-bank-accounts.489101/page-2#post-6505834

Any recommendations on moving companies? I did a search of the forums, got some names down, but unless I'm missing something it doesn't look like folks agree on what the best ones really are.

I think we could potentially handle the packing ourselves, but there's no way we can do the actual move ourselves (i.e. drive a truck from TX to BC).

Thanks!

For E-APR, I can't remember what I did, but don't see why scanning a real one won't work.

Just a FYI folks. You can use your US income and US credit to get a mortgage in Canada. Though, I did get mine in PEI which has a lot of non-residents buying so maybe that skews stuff.

How do Canadian banks get access to your US credit history?

Look into U-Pack. They were by far the cheapest for me and the customer service was A+.

You authorize them to. RBC for example has a US division that can do it. I was warned against mixing up my US dealings and my Canadian dealings though. Each time someone on either side of the border dings your credit in the US, your score can drop.

I did check on them. However, this is what I got when I asked for a quote: "At this time, U-Pack does not service the city or ZIP code you are moving to on a direct basis. We have taken the liberty to provide a quote to our nearest terminal location where you may unload your items."

And the nearest location is about 500 miles away. :(

Where did you get your photos done? I am in NYC as well. I am still early in the process, just submitted my PR application yesterday, but I would also like to know for the future where to go (and where not to go!)
Hey sorry for the late response. Got really busy with work. But I went to our local pharmacy store. Not a chain like rite aid or walgreens. The guy said he could take the pictures and then print them on regular paper and we can then measure according to the requirements and he could cut it for us.

So we went ahead with that since all the other photography studios we went to quotes amounts in excess of $500. It did not justify the price for us since we are going to make a quick weekend visit to Canada to see some family in February and would get it done then if the ones this guy clicked at the local pharmacy store for $10.
