This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Etobicoke will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application.

IMPORTANT: You and your family members, if any, will be required to present original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre at your appointment. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents.

"WE JUST GOT THIS LETTER" THE PROBLEM WE HAVE NOW IS THAT MY HUSBAND JUST GOT HIS NEW PASSPORT AND THE APPLICATION HAS HIS OLD PASSPORT INFORMATION SINCE HE LOST HIS PASSPORT JUST 5 WEEKS AGO AND WE DID SEND THE NEW PASSPORT INFORMATION TO THE ONLINE ENQUIRY 3 WEEKS AGO BUT IMMIGRATION CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID IT DOESN APPEAR YET, BUT TODAY WE GOT THIS LETTER SAYING OUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN SENT TO "ETOBICOKE" WHICH MEANS WE NEED TO RESEND THE NEW PASSPORT INFORMATION TO ETOBICOKE OFFICE SINCE WE PREVIOUSLY SENT IT TO VEGREVILLE ONLINE ENQUIRY SYSTEM..IS THERE AN ONLINE SYSTEM THAT I CAN USE SPECIFICALLY FOR 'ETOBICOKE' OFFICE. I AM NOT EVEN SURE IF THEY HAVE A NUMBER TO CONTACT THEM AS WELL. I WONDER HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO HEAR FROM THEM TOO??????? ANYONE THAT MAY HELP ME WITH SOME INFORMATION. ?????????????????????????????????? ALSO, DOES THIS MEAN MY HUSBAND AND I WILL BE INTERVIEW ??????????

Hello,

I have applied for Permanent Residency under Family Class Inside Canada and my application was received in April 2016. I got a correspondence in May 2017asking for more details which I submitted the same day. There has been no update since then. It says additional documents were received in August 2017 and since then they have been doing background check.

Has this happened to anyone and what next should i be doing ?

Also I am unable to link my paper application to online tool.

Please suggest.
Log into ECAS as the sponsor, and tell me what both sides say, please.

Hi everyone,

I submitted my spouse sponsorship application (INLAND). I received a DECISION made in the sponsorship column and IN PROGRESS in the PR column. I did not receive any email. What will be the next step? Please also advise on how long it will take for the PR to process.

Thank you.
They are working on Medical, Criminality and Security clearances. Then you will see a Decision Made on the PR side, when they are finished. You'll land sometime after that.

I am a 2016 July applicant. Just receive the notification from mycic that my application has been transfer to the Etobicoke office today. Seems there are still weeks to wait before Etobicoke office contacts me. Just a question, I have not pay the Rights of Permanent Residence Fee yet. The letter says that "If you have not already made this payment, you must submit proof of the payment to this office as soon as possible via email, facsimile or mail at". However, there is no email or physical address provided. Btw, what is the facsimile? Just wondering if there is anyone who had similar experience? Thanks in advance.
Can you post what the letter said, with personal information removed?

EVERYONE is interviewed inland. EVERYONE gets the landing interview.

This is a DM letter. Send the bio page to CIC via IRCC web form (google ircc web form). Then call to advise that you sent an updated passport via web form.

Etobicoke is usually 8 weeks, so you have time. But do this ASAP.

Congrats. That's a DM letter (unless they included a time for the interview). Yes, sponsor must attend.

Thanks @profiler. Medicals have passed. Review of eligibility is in progress.
Usually how long will it take to get DM on the PR side after getting DM on the sponsorship side?

Please advise and thanks in advance.

My husband lost his passport and just got a new passport so it doesn't have his" immigration stamp" when he enter Canada since it is a new passport. Also, do we need to pay the fee ahead of time and how much it is ?? My husband doesnt have license and neither do I. I have Ontario Photo Card which I plan to get a new one soon with our new home address since we moved 4 months ago. We do have government letters with both our names and we have our home lease with both our names. We also have a join account with both our names and home address. I am just worry because he has a new passport but I did scan his old passport which he lost and i printed the main page of the passport with his old passport number. I am just not sure if immigration checks for the entry stamp.

Could be today; could be 3-6 months from now. If they have the Security clearance finished and they don't require a redo on your medical, it should be done today. It's pretty fast. Usually the Medical or the Security clearance are the things that slow them down at this point.

The stamp doesn't matter. They need the same passport number that is on file for him. That's how they know which COPR to print.

Yes, pay the RPRF online. $490.

Thanks for reply, also would just our home lease would be enough to prove our home address since neither of us have license. Also, his open work permit just expired but i did apply for a new open work permit through immigration online system on December 29/2017 and they already began processing it but if we get our landing meeting in etobicoke before he receives his new open work permit would that be a problem since it means he is out of status. I am worry about his Status???

His status technically doesn't matter now. But since you asked, if you applied for a renewal of his OWP before it's expiry date (meaning they received it before the date on the old one), then he has implied worker status. Irrespective of that, your husband can land without status inland.

Each CIC office is different. We didn't have to prove address at all at Kitchener. But, yes, a lease would be enough; so would government mailings. For ID, your Ontario photo card, and his passport will do.

It says the same in both sides that application has been received. Medical results have been received. In my side it only says application received. In sponsor's side it says in process in addition to application received.
