Hi ,
were you able get the ECA report successfully from WES?
Could you please post the steps you followed for sending the doc to WES.
successfully and easily. Couple of questions:

1. Are you planning to get this done from Mumbai Univ?
2. Secondly, which college?

I am have done BE from Mumbai university affiliated college.
I already have my transcript ready from my college. I was planning to go to the university with the docs for attestations.

Please guide me step wise. I want my docs to be accepted and evaluated in first attempt itself from WES.

1. Take your ORIGINAL marksheets, passing certificate(s), degree certificate(s), transcript(s) to the University - NOT Kalina, go to Churchgate (Right next to Sydenham)
2. Considering this is for immigration, take two sets of black and white xeroxes (arrange them in the order you like). One set is for their record, other is for you to mail to WES (they charge 5 rupees per page for your copy, 0.50 paise for theirs). Additionally, take a small envelope and a larger envelope along with the address and your WES reference number on them. In case you haven't paid WES your fee, just write it all and keep the number area blank, you can add it later. If you have paid WES already, you know what to do.
3. They will attest the documents (director's signature and a couple of stamps) and stamp the envelopes, and return it to you within 24-48 hours. Preferred days of visit are Thursday and Friday as the crowds are lesser on these days; university office opens at 11. You can reach by 10.30 and get your token number; shouldn't take you more than 90-120 mins to get your work done.

Note that they won't seal the envelopes, but everything else will be in place. Just seal with glue and mail it to WES. No need to separate college degrees from university degrees. Just seal them all in one envelope, put it in a second one, and you are good to go.

Yes it is for immigration..Few more doubts....sorry if they are silly
1. I have two copies of transcripts prepared by my college each in separately signed and sealed envelopes.
Should I break the seal of the envelopes and get the transcripts attested by the university and place it in the envelop along with other docs?
2. What about the 3rd and 4th year marksheets ? should I get those attested by the college and then get it signed and stamped by university?
3. University will attest the b/w copy of the transcript or the original transcript?

Thanks for replying :)

Hahhaaha, no, they aren't silly queries.

1. Break the seal on one of them, and get the xeroxes attested. NO ORIGINALS are mailed or attested.
2. All marksheets attested by university. No need to get any of them attested by the college.
3. Answered in question 1.

Thanks for answering them :)
Should I get the university signature and stamp on both the envelopes (inner and outer)
Can I fold the docs and place it in an envelop or A4 size envelopes are needed and any specific color the envelopes must be in?

They will stamp the inner one, not the outer one. The outer one is for them to keep it safe. Just get a new outer one later, and mail. No specific color of envelope, just buy the traditional green ones from the shop right across the gate.

Hi guys..

Can someone advice. I'm not in India and my dad is doing the process for me. I've guided him throughout properly. There's some doubts:
1. For hotel management graduates affiliated with university of Mumbai, they also have to go to the churchgate office correct, or do they have to go to kalina.
2. Are colour Xerox copies Okay?

Thanks

1. Ask him to check Churchgate first, don't make the mistake of going to Kalina. Kalina they charge 1k per document for verification, plus the turnaround time is 4 weeks.
2. You don't need colour xerox, plain old B&W.

****thanks. I did this once for my friend as well and it was at churchgate as far as I remember. Just needed to make sure
2. My dad took colour Xerox already. It shouldn't be a problem right.

nope, not an issue at all.
****update:

So my dad went this morning and submitted everything.
2 envelopes. One with the wes information and other one blank with no addresses to it. I guess that one is for university records.
Apart from that they charged only 42 rupees and gave a receipt with reference number and instructed to check the status online.

This is peculiarly different as I don't remember this when my friend did this process a year back.

Anyone else have an update or insight???
