Its is going to be a normal one nothing to worry about. My wife got hers yesterday on Dec 19. They will ask you about ur very first entry and last entry into canada and common questions like have you been convicted of a crime or have you been refused entry into canada. It is fairly easy nothing to worry about.

Hi Guys..Finally the wait is over I got an email yesterday:

We are pleased to inform you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview that is scheduled for Time on DEC. 22, 2017. Your interview will be conducted at: Address

Please bring this invitation letter to the interview. You must also attend the interview with the following:
1) Your passport. You must provide us with satisfactory original identity documents in order to acquire permanent residence status. o If your passport is currently being held by the Government of Canada (IRCC/CBSA), we will request it on your behalf.
2) Two photographs for your permanent resident card o Permanent resident card
3) Your current Social Insurance Number, only if you are in possession of one. You will need to change your Social Insurance Number (SIN) to reflect your new status as a permanent resident. o Service Canada representatives may be available at this interview to assist you in obtaining your new SIN.
4) Your sponsor, only if you are landing under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in-Canada Class o Your sponsor must bring photo identification and proof of address.

I am kind of concerned about the Interview it will be it normal like other people are stating in this forum or some other new questions are added.......Maybe people who recently went for interview can share their experiences here. Also if somebody can explain me what is proof of address (as stated for my sponsor) and other documents I can carry which can be helpful to us in in the interview process.

Thanks in advance :)
I

In progress is common at this stage.
Yes that's what I am seeing the pattern that if back ground check is in progress and never became NA then there are full chances that you will get an interview request before Decision made.

Thank profiler...another question for you..Our son was born on Nov 28th,2017 and i really forgot to update CIC on this...Do you see this being a problem. My wife is a canadian citizen and he was born here..I will take his birth certificate along with us for the landing interview as well..but i really hope its not a prob...i totally forgot to inform CIC.
Notify them when they call you up. You can say you haven't gotten a birth certificate yet, but the child is Canadian, so, no issue.

Folks, first post but wanted to thank you all for the input on this and various other forums... invaluable advice, guidance and assistance along the journey to PR. I landed today and COPR in hand. Happy holidays to you all and best of luck to those still in the process.
Congrats!

Hi, I'm back to this forum again.
File is received on 2016-10-25,so far no AIP no SA. I have called the IRCC to track the status over the phone, and it says they are reviewing the eligibility.
On the Daily update online tool, it shows Decision Made, (either today or yesterday)
But, I have not received any email notification.
I am confused. They said they are still doing the background check and just start reviewing the eligibility(I called yesterday, and they have not start review the eligibility)
And today, I saw the DM on the online tool.
Is this mean, a real DM? what is the possibility that the file is rejected?
How long do I have to wait for the next move?

So i got the phone interview, and I can only describe it as: frustrating

The guy had the thickest Asian accent I’ve ever heard, it was so damn hard to understand him.

I had to repeat my answers like 3 times and he would yell at me saying he wasn’t asking that and then we would say the same question again (???) and I would give him the same answer I was giving in the first place.

I felt insulted by the way he treated me. But whatever... it’s done.

Now I just have to wait for the CoPR, sign it and send it back.

Congrats. Call the call centre if you don't receive anything from CIC. The DM will mean it's a positive decision. Only when you've already received negative mailings would it possibly be a rejection.

Thank you! I tried to call and no one picks up. My lawyer is not around at the moment...his assistant asked me to wait for the email to come in....
So....I will wait then...
