Congrats! It will be a positive decision (unless, of course, you received a procedural fairness letter before now). Your DM might be delayed, but don't worry. The Immigration regulations state they must send the fairness letter -- without it, you're becoming a PR :).
I just hope that we get a call for landing soon. Since i got this update last week and it freaks me out everyting i see it saying we sent you a correspondence while nothing have been received.

Hi Guys,
I just got my interview request letter. The interview date is Nov.22.2017. Unfortunately, my boyfriend will be out of Canada on that day. We emailed and mailed to the officer to request for reschedule the interview time. Is any body knows how long I should wait for the officer's reply ? Thank you so much for your answer.

If you emailed them directly, shouldn't be too long.

Uhm... Is it a personal box. Like, a person's name? If not, call the call centre in the morning to reschedule..

Just talked to the rep and he said they are asking for Schedule A and Family information again. Have already submitted to them thrice. Dont know why they are asking for same thing again and again. And also at the same time changing the status to decision made is so conflicting. Will try and call the call centre tom hoping that they pick up

Hi,
I would really appreciate your help with my concern. I'm sponsoring my wife (inland), we are nearly at the end of the process (App received Jan 28 2017) medicals passed on May 5, 2017. Three weeks ago she got "arrested" at a store for "theft under 5000" ($35 cad value). The police gave her a Notice of Appearance. She had her Photo and Fingerprints taken last week at the police station and she is supposed to appear in court in 3 weeks. So far she has not been convicted and this is her first offence.
My concern is that today we got a letter from CIC requesting her fingerprints and Police Check from Canada and said that we have 30 days to send it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? or Can help with any advice on whether we should tell Immigration whats going on now? Or wait till she goes to court and have a resolution? If she sends her Fingerprints now would the Sponsorship Application be refused?

Thank you!!
I think if it is 3 weeks ago. It is unlikely that CIC already knows about this. But, the reason CIC wants finger prints and police check is that they want to do the criminality check on your wife. This is normally the final step on the processing of the application (eligibility-reliability-criminality). If she has been confirmed as criminal offence, it is likely that there will be record and CIC will know it. However, if it is confirmed as provincial offence or offence of City-by Law such as a speeding ticket, failed to pay the bus ticket, or failed to the parking fee, this won't show on the criminal record.

The concern is that, even she can somewhat bypass this time. At the time of the landing, she will have to answer the questions from the Border Officer such as "Have you ever convected or had offence" etc. The officer has the right to reject even at that point. So, I suggest hiring a lawyer and be prepared for it.

Yeah I would call them. That's an indication there is a problem on the form....

I'm sorry, I have to disagree here. Couple things:
- When inlanders land, they don't meet with a CBSA officer at all. They go to an inland CIC office and meet with a CIC officer. They do have to answer truthfully to the question, "Have you committed a crime in Canada or anywhere else?"

- Summary judgements for offences like speeding tickets or parking tickets are not an issue. They still have to be admitted to.

- The offence absolutely will show up when CIC pulls the Criminality report from the Ministry of Public Safety. They request the RCMP check against CPIC. CPIC is maintained by RCMP, and all provinces, territories, regions have access to this information in real-time. All convictions AND pending charges are entered into immediately.

- An immigration lawyer won't be able to do anything more than a person can do, in this case.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I'm very confused because I called CIC today and they told me they needed nothing from me or my wife, they said they didn't see anything that I should submit or anything missing to process my application. (So they didn't mention the request for my wife's fingerprints), and in the system it says that They do not need fingerprints.

My question or dilemma is should I report my situation to Immigration? Should I just send my wife's fingerprints? Should I wait until she goes to court?

I received yesterday Sponsors Approval and what I've been told is that usually you get AIP and DM pretty soon after SA. Should I wait a couple of weeks to see if I get them?

Thank you for your insight Profiler.

So given my post above, regarding my conversation with CIC .. do you think I should wait for AIP? and DM? And try to get the charges withdrawn in court and fingerprints and photo destroyed after so we can have not so many problems?

Thanks
