As many people are asking Abt OINP. so putting question here.
I created profile in May with crs 380 then gradually I improved score to 424. I believe my profile is old to be picked for OINP. What do you think should I create new profile? Can I have two profiles at a time or would I have to withdraw the earlier and then create new.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Since the qouta is measured by landed immigrants and in 2019 and 2020 is even higher I believe we can see sub below 400 sometime in 2018.

I feel the % increase in quota would mostly negate the increased number of applicants each year as there is an increase in the number of applicants trying to immigrate to Canada.

Anyways lets wait and see the frequency of the draws and the increased ITA targets.

Do you think they will start issuing new NOIs soon and wish to highlight in advance that the new timeline is 45 days and not 3 months as before.I hope i get an NOI this time.

I don't think they have enough 2017 quota left to be issuing any more NOIs in 2017, given the low number of nominations left and the high number of people like me who missed out on the July 25 deadline and have been waiting every day for this reopening to submit our applications. And given that they say any NOIs issued from now onward will expire in 45 days or on December 31, whichever is sooner, I think they are not trying to get a head start on 2018 but just trying to fill the 2017 quota while being willing to hold extra ones for 2018. However, CIC and OINP have shown themselves to be unpredictable, so who knows. In any case, they will resume issuing normal NOIs in 2018 (i.e., valid for at least 6 months).

I agree to this statement. There are lot of people also sitting on their NOI as they thought that the score would go down again. And now they are rushing to make it happen. I also think that that maintenance part will be more or less to count how many applications did they receive.
I think there were more cases just like you (having all ready and just waiting for them to reopen).
There is also one major change in their approach - change of the validity of NOI.
Honestly those 6 months brought lot of uncertainty in their calculations (they have issued lot of NOI and unlike declining ITA, there is no chance for them to know it the person who receive it is interested or not). Giving such long period for people to decide practically prevents them to issue new NOI in a timely manner.
So since you do not need PCC or medical for Ontario, most documents should be ready (ECA and language tests are the requirement for EE itself).
So I find it more just to give same reaction time for both streams (French speakers and HCP).

Don't you think that withdrawing the profile will effect first come first serve rule of Express entry that they introduced introduced in June. According to which the profiles created early will have first chance in case of CRS TIE

Going by the Express Entry rules, yes it would affect in case the CRS cut-off is same as your CRS score.

But, I am yet to see somebody who has missed an ITA with the same CRS as the cut off and I strongly believe CIC has not applied the rule yet as the number of ITAs issued have always been some random number (ex: 2772, 2871, 2801 & 2757) and not a rounded figure.

Hi Friends

My job duties falls under 2147.Computers Engineers(Except Software Engineers)

As this occupation is regulated is it mandatory to apply for license prior to applying for Ontario.

Also till now all consultants and friends are refusing that license is not required for ontario during the time of application submission.

I mailed Ontario and they have sent below ans

I guess we are missing something here. I think they will issue NOI, most likely mid November to make the deadline last week of December after 45 days expiry time. Have a look at the statement below-

NOTE: If your application is approved after the OINP reaches its nomination allocation for 2017, your nomination certificate will be issued in early 2018.

Just wish everyone struggling with crs should get a NOI

Registered for OINP, but I'm finding it very hard to justify spending $1500 CAD when I'm at 416 (going up to 441 in April) and perhaps only a few months away from getting an ITA. How's everyone else feeling?

In a similar slot buddy. The feedback im getting from friends on the forum is to go via OINP route. Im taking their advice.
In the end a bird in hand is better than two in the bush.
