Qualification for skilled workers

Hi I am a cg artist fro India with more than.10 years experience.Right now I have an employer ready to give me visa to Canada in 1 year contract.But my education is diploma in mechanical engineering .I heard that a graduation is needed for migration to Canada.I am clueless whether I my diploma helps me or not.Is a graduation very much required or diploma is ok?Please advice so that I can take further decision.
