Asking the call centre agents how long to process, when they have not completed the case will 100% always result in the 26 month quote.
I understand your position. They are likely near your timeline now WRT processing. To me, it's not worth stressing about. In this case, no news is good news. So, don't let it bother you

I don't recall seeing that you'd filed a refugee claim.... What condition was imposed, if I may ask?
Guess what? I actually spoke to a human being and the agent was surprised that my partner's landing was not yet scheduled. So he told us that he will inquire to Ottawa about our status. 11:45 AM today, we got an email.

Ya as we spoke last time i cunsult my lawyer to withdraw ma refugee claim and restoring my status thru owp but he said as soon as i withdraw cbsa will enforce me to deport since i hv to sign/ report every month i don have much space to shift my status. The other thing o request my lawyer to postpond/ extend my hearing date so that i can buy some time hoping that i would get done evtg before deportation enforcement in effect unfortunatelly he cant and they wont give me any other date it will be first week of november.
Ahh yes. So, you're lawyer is actually *technically* correct, however incorrect. When you sign/report next with CBSA, ask them about an administrative deferral while your inland sponsorship application is processed. If they know there is one in play, they can defer the removal order, pending that decision. In fact, it works in your best interest, because they will contact CIC directly and request they process your case with priority. If they are willing to grant one, you drop your refugee claim, and everything is fine.
I believe I did give you this information already. Another case I helped with, had the monthly check-ins, and was deemed to be "removal ready" to the US (so, there is nothing stopping the removal). He drew their attention to a CIC inland sponsorship file that he had made. They granted an administrative deferral and requested CIC process with priority. They've since landed and moved on from here...

I would really appreciate if someone could share their experience on process after medicals are shown in Ecas as "passed".
After how long (aprox.) should I get SA, AIP, DM? And in which format? Am I going to receive a letter, an email, or just see the change in status in CIC? And if I have to do anything, send anything after I get to any of these stages?

Hi, got email for the schedule of landing interview in Ottawa on 30th Oct. I am May 2016 applicant, SA and AIP received on 20th September 2017. ECAS showed DM (Applicant side) on 4th October, though no DM email. MyCIC is still showing old status. I hope this info would help few people who are summer 2016 applicants.
