Happy late thanksgiving @profiler and all members here
Hope you werent chasing turkey on weekend so u wouldnt exhausted to celebrate it on Monday :)

Regarding the upload
I wish i could insert the screenshot so u will have a better view.
We'd submitted bunch of proofs of relation by webform a month a go.

The funny thing is the due date on the coloumn is gone (like i told you it was written as the same schedule of my interview) and only allowed to upload 1 doc-for us is marriage certificate (for commonlaw is IMM5409) i realize it later

Anyhow our concern now is why on the letter we have been scheduled for an hour interview? What i read in the forum only 15min at least. Any clue about that?
Well, it could be a QA interview, but based on what you've said, it sounds on par with what I recall reading others in AB saying their interview invitations stated. If I was to guess, it's so you can schedule time off work (if applicable).

Happy Thanksgiving and welcome back folks. So I got through and spoke to a rep @ IRCC call centre. Checked my file and told me there's is actually progress on it. Funny he said that because I have been stucked at BG since May 2017. But he told me something interesting that my application is part of the reduction process so will be completed in 2017. Looking at how my BG has been so long how is that possible. I haven't even got a medical request. Is that possible because I know there are guys on this forum who knows the system more than some of these reps

Thanks guys

Sometimes the call centre doesn't always tell the truth. I believe that's because there might be a lack of continuous training.

Technically, every case filed before December 7, 2016 is expected to be completed in 2017.

MyCIC for my wife showed BG check in progress from July 2016 - May 2017. I knew it was completed in March of 2017, because they told us to hurry up and complete the medical (the second one), as they were ready to decide. By MyCIC still showed "in progress". It showed "in progress" until after she landed.

That said, lately it seems to be external requirements that are slowing CIC down. When was your application received?

I am guessing that you might see the medical before November. Typically, when they start working on your file, it's very fast. They will do as much with the file as they can, when they have it. Some have reported going from only AOR to DM in the span of an hour or two.

12 months is their goal for December 15, 2016 submissions. So I would expect to finish up sometime around then.

@profiler thanks a lot. I keep waiting and keeping my hopes up. It's been very stressful but it's all part of the system. Everyone has been through it

Hi all,

I received SA and AIP in August.
I got an appointment with my MP office last week. The lady emailed in few hours after checking with Immigration. She said they have finished criminality checks and are still doing the background checks.

Is it a good news ? Because I thought background checks would include everything.

Hello, I am on my last stage for the "Inland spousal permanent application". However, just over a month ago CIC requested additional documents and they gave me a deadline for October 19, 2017. I sent the documents by mailed and they arrived there on Sept 28, 2017. But, nothing has been updated on their system and I called immigration customer service and they said it can take a while for the officer to received the documents due to high volumes of mail they received everyday. I am extremely anxious due to the deadline they gave me. I am scared they will reject my permanent residence due to this since they said they are waiting for this documents in order for them to make a decision on my file. I sent the application on July 08, 2016 and has been more than 12 months. Has anyone been on the same case before????????????????????????????????????? sending documents but them not receiving them by the deadline ??????????

So first off, no reason to be anxious. Usually they want you to send them the documents via IRCC web form. This way, they have already been scanned, and can be added to your file quicker than if they are mailed. Mailed documents require the mail room to scan them to attach to your file.

That said, did you advise the call centre agent that they were mailed? That is noted on your file.

Additionally, they build in a buffer of another month before they will send a response. They will not usually pick up a file for at least 30 days after they request something, because they have to give you time to respond.

Lastly, any time you send materials to CIC via mail, make sure to request a delivery receipt. That way, you can prove they had the documents delivered -- this negates any problem with dates.

Anyway -- no use to worry at all here.

Hello, thank you for your answer. I have sent documents via Web Form but this time they requested to be mailed and not sent by the online web form. I don't know why. I am trying to link my application to the online web form but it is giving me problems.
