No update on application yet. Application sent 1 Aug. Medicals completed. AOR 2 from NDVO on 26th Sep. Application still in process.

I have now applied for a TRV for my daughter until decision is made on her application. Awaiting that Fingers crossed!

I am in the same boat. My daughter file transferred to NDVO on 11th Sep and applied her TRV on 13th Sep.

Still there is no update, the status is still as " We are reviewing for Eligibility" for the last 2 weeks. Hoping to get it approve asap.

That’s so sad That’s almost one month for the TRV! I’ve applied TRV before and they always come back in less than a month so I think they may be considering stamping your daughter’s passport with the immigrant visa.

It has been more than a month, since I got the Sponsorship approval email/pdf. But no updates in ecas and linked application after that and no luck in calling the agents.

My friend, i am waiting for more than 4 months since SA, still no news from NDVO, have mailed them inquiry but no response, called CIC Mississauga, after 20 calls, was lucky to speak to an agent, he informed my file is in NDVO and they dont have any information regarding the file, asked to contact NDVO, I think the child timelines are same as spousal sponsorship, currently they are processing spousal files received done in March.

Hi everyone. My husband and I sent in an application to sponsor my husband's dependant son living in Cuba November 2016. We were approved as sponsors and the file has been transferred to Mexico City. Son did his medical in Havana September 2016.
The updates read as this:
1.We received your application for PR November 16 2016.
2.We started processing your application March 31,2017
3. Medical Results recieved.
How much longer done have to wait? This is heartbreaking being separated

Congrats localola, I saw ur post on other thread, you got your sons DM in August, it took roughly 8 month for DM whereas the average processing times for CUBA are 12 months. Good.

Anyone knows what happens next? I just submitted my medical last april and they received my medical by the end of april. It's been a month I hope nothing is wrong ...

I have not bought any insurance as she will be covered under my employer insurance plan.

Well that's not encouraging..does it still say in PA status, we started processing your file on so on so date? Also, what are the pros/cons of TRV as few of the members have applied? How would they get stamping done from NDVO or it can be done here in Canada itself?

Got the Ecas status update- "Medical result received" for my daughter application.
And On sponsorship application " Sent the mail of the decision taken".

Not sure how much time will it take now on DM and PPR request for daughter application

I was hoping that kids cases will pass through faster considering they dont have to go through BGC and PCC etc, but it seems its not that fast after it reaches NDVO. They need to increase staff numbers in NDVO to increase throughput. Mississauga SA approval etc is much faster/efficient. Keep us updated on TRV, I am not sure if I should also go this route!!

Processing time for TRV at NDVO is 35 days. That’s roughly around 5 weeks. My file was forwarded on 6th Oct so I am not going to worry before 10th Nov. Moreover, since there are festivals in between, I assume I am going to get something positive only after week 2 of Nov.

The website also says that the processing times could be more than expected because of the earthquake in Mexico. But I think that’s more relevant for Mexican applicants or Inland applications at best.
