@iyawoSparks You should probably create a separate thread to ask this question to get a broader perspective before you decide on what to do.

haha.. this is the email you and your spouse have been waiting for, for long time. Your passport is ready for pick up and they want you to go to DHL so they can go get it for you. Inperson pick up is not allowed from my understanding. Congrats to you and your family.

Have your husband take this email to DHL and they will send to accra to pick up the passport and bring it to the office your husband sent it from.

Thanks Tender I appreciate this. My worry is the lack of acknowledgment of receipt. Did you get any such response from them when you sent your package? Not knowing if it reached the right hands is concerning since the courier delivered our package after business hours.

We pray for some kind of response soon, something, anything.

Well I don't think there's anything to worry about. I was asked for additional documents on the 28th of June then submitted on the 5th of July, avo received it on the 1th of July and we heard from them on the 15th of August for remedical . So just chill and pray for divine favour. Also, that same 15th August avo sent my husband another mail for detailed explanation then afterwards on the 27th September I got ppr. Just pray for God's grace, they must give u ur visa. Honestly, I used prayers for my stuff because I made plenty of mistakes.

@ Tender, Did they acknowledge receipt of your additional documents?

Right but they can also deliver it to any location of ur choice. Mine was delivered at my doorstep.

Hi guys. Medicals done on Tuesday, status on GCKey online account changed to "Medicals passed" yesterday. Thank God.

@Iyawo just allow the sleeping dog to sleep very well. If they have not asked you and they requested for medical only dnt bother telling them anything. I had similar issue and was advised to send a mail to AVO but I weighed the risk and did not tell them and got ppr. I think they do a random check for all these visa rejection stuff but my happiness is that u mentioned the Canada refusal which is the most important one. On the form they said 'ANY' and u have mentioned the Canada refusal so u are good to go.

Shebi AVO? Hmm... Sometimes I wonder if they have updated version of software. They did not, so just focus on ur prayer and forget them. People on the forum said avo only send messages in the morning 10am... Hmm all the mails I got from them were from 2pm to 5pm even the ppr was in the afternoon. So i think most things we do here are speculations. Just pray only.

We just got Pick Up Mail guys this morning.. I am so damn happy right now as it's all over. I pray we all get the Visas for our spouses very soon.
Just to recap, we applied Aug 2016 and now my wife's passport is ready for pick up.
Congratulations to both of you. Please arrange for the pick up ASAP.

I'm still waiting for mine. I hope by Tuesday as Monday is a holiday. I would have really loved to spend Thanksgiving with my wife and daughter. Anyway, it's almost over.
