Evening all, just a quick update that I got my landing letter today. I wish all that are still waiting good luck.
Total processing time from application sent to landing is 16months for me.
In the letter, it asks to bring letter from my employer and marriage certificate and everything. Do i need to bring the letter from employer?

Also, when we applied. We submitted all of the fees. But i dont have the receipt for it. Would they have it on the file that the fees are paid or would i have to contact the lawyer to see if he has them? Did anyone take the receipt for the fees? I am pretty sure we sent receipts for all with application.

Pay stub is enough to prove wage...but not necessary (it's not a requirement to land; may be for sponsor)

You still need proof you paid RPRF. You need a receipt to land. So either ask the lawyer or pay again. Anything else will take more than 30 days.

Have you tried calling?

You might be able to convince the call centre staff to locate the receipts submitted. They are attached to the file (at least the serial number for the receipt is). Worst case: pay again and ask for a refund on the old one (you can request GCMS notes to get the serial number). If the call centre can locate it, maybe they can email it to you. No guarantees here, but it's the only other avenue.

What does it mean when your file is transferred to local office before AIP?? (INLAND)

Cic account changed to "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

The sugar coated answer? They wanted to look closer at the file.

The profiler answer? Review and probably relationship interview. Inland CIC generally is only involved to review and interview.

That said, it can mean that they have expanded the processing network inland to include local CIC offices. So, try not to read too much into it. But be prepared (IP-8 still states its as I stated above -- so in the presence of non-updated documentation, it means interview is likely).

See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/ip/ip08-eng.pdf pg 35 Section 5.36 Review by local CIC

Thank you. I will call them in the morning and see if they can provide any information in regards to it which may help.
