If it's 13 months ,then I don't agree with those who said the movement is faster now cos last your the average timeline for AVO was 8 or 9 months

Nobody said it's faster now. All the cries here has been about how slow AVO has been with thier processing of late. As a matter of fact it keeps getting worse by the day cos around 2011 or so, AVO had 3/4 months processing time but look at where we are now.

For the sake of new applicants let's hope by the time they clear 2016 applicants, they ll pick up as the new timeline is 12 months.

Reading all through the comments... it is just funny how i have gone through various threads and realized that NDVO has the highest amount of applicants but still meet up between 5-6 months for the majority. What are they doing differently from what AVO is doing that it is taking them over 12 months to process an application. The wait is tiring, I really feel everyone's pain waiting to hear from them. I am a 2017 applicant, now it got me thinking how long it will take my application.

the question is when will they finish 2016 applicants. september just has a week and few days left. i have given up hope, I am just trying to convince myself that maybe they just have a lot to do.

My dear, I am also a May applicant. Just project your mind to February-March by God's grace. You can hope for a miracle or be like me, just give up and go about your life.

Since May/June it stopped being 8-9 months.
In July it increased to 11 months.
Now it's roughly 12 to 13. Mine was 12 months and 1 week.
Go back to Jan 2017 and follow the trend on this forum down to Sep 2017.
for some reasons it seems July was very slow, if not silent.
If the same caseworkers process student visas, this probably accounts for the slow down. I work for the Ontario govt and was a caseworker for employment services for a while. July - August was always our busiest time as we were processing applications that had to be done for students to start school in September - if they missed the deadline, they were going to miss school for a year. This may be the case with visa offices also.

I had sent in some more documentation a few weeks ago and got notification that it was received an added to my file today. This seemed to be done faster than it had been, so maybe now that the student visas are done, they can concentrate on family sponsorship applications.

Hello, everyone. I wish to thank all the active and passive participants of this forum. I have been following posts concerning spousal PR process at Accra. For the benefit of members still awaiting response on their application, here is my timeline.

Sept. 19 2017: email notice to send passport and photos to CPC Ottawa for the PR visa (I am in Canada on student visa).

Sept. 18 2017: email notice and phone call requesting payment of Right of PR fee (RPRF). [Paid it soon after and emailed receipt].

Oct. 31 2016: application received by CIC (as posted on the CIC online page).

Nov. 17 2016: email for spousal sponsorship approval.

Dec. 8 2016: "we started processing your application for PR."

Oct. 7 2016: Medical done upfront. No second medical requested.

Good luck to everyone!
