How I wish that I could use the same old nickname, for its reputation. Alas some psychopath seemed to have hijacked it. I heard that she/he shred the English grammar to pieces!!
It even made me think for a second that day that u were purposefully trying hard to be back in disguise...but he was so 'grammarous' that you couldn't ever be that however hard u tried...

Watch your step, a fellow Irishman (@KingKurly) acknowledged that what we Nepalese consume here is, technically, biologically, chemically and literally, venom. Beware, as you sure do not know what you are against!! We add Aconitum to our staple drinks, so think again and be wise.
I know all about my Irish comrade at arms. @KingKurly was the first one on here to invite me drinking. He's a man who understands Irish hospitality.

Where is he anyway? I've been wondering how he got on with his IELTS. Hope he got the score he was hoping for.

Since he is back, I will let the brainchild of the Yukon party speak up, @N_PA_

I think @Karnesh is waiting for a confirmation that xibalban is back ;)
I am wondering, can we "spam" the administrator/moderator, etc. and petition for reinstating my account? A drop just evaporates, but several drops create a torrential rain.
rather than spamming we all could petition the admin for reinstating ur account
we all request the moderators of the forum to reinstate the true ray of hope prince Xibalban's account with all his credentials...:(...plz...he's so much wanted here:cool:
@moderator @admin
by the way where are @KingKurly @Wandering Mind ...

Guys, can't put a link, don't know why but here's copied article, a bit discouraging, what do you think? Quora site if anyone's interesting for further research. Name of the article: What are the pros and cons of immigration in Canada" written by Elssa Neri

Hello!

As you stated that you are “ looking for uncensored deadly honest opinions regardless is the offend or discriminate”, I will give you my deadly honest experience:

If you come to Canada, you will be seen as dumb, underqualified and you will have to humiliate yourself and beg on your knees to many arrogant locals to give you even an unpaid internship, even if you are actually smarter and more qualified than them. “Canadian experience” is seen as the best quality one might have and without it - you`re nobody, even if you have a Master`s degree from Europe (which is a lot harder to get than the Canadian one, by the way) and 10 years of professional experience with amazing references.

I was told that you can immigrate to Canada only to mop up floors but I didn`t believe it until I felt it on my own skin. No one will be willing to give you a chance. It`s my experience, it`s my friends experience, basically - I`ve heard very few happy stories where everything turned out well.

If you`re a highly qualified European specialist, I strongly advise to stay in Europe - you will be fare more appreciated there and your education and experience will be seen as valuable on the contrary to Canada where they don`t give a damn about you whatsoever.

That`s my deadly honest experience unfortunately. I don`t see any pros at this point. Been here for a few months and I`m basically being ignored by whomever I turn to or even worse - I get a reply with a meaning “go f**k yourself, you are not welcome here, you sh***y immigrant”. The savings are starting to dry up and I still haven`t moved forward not least a bit. The same with a few of my friends who have moved here around the same time I did.

A few of my friends, very highly qualified professionals from Europe, who had immigrated a while ago - some of them work in shops or restaurants, a couple of them just moved back to Europe and currently live a great life.

Conclusion - Canada thinks they`re the best country in the world and everyone else are not worth anything. My advice - if you are a great professional, don`t go humiliate yourself, you`ll have a far better life in Europe.

All the best!

Nobody told it was easy. And it's true that there are many unsuccessful experiences.

But I can only tell you about firsthand experiences that I know from friends and colleagues (5 in total). All of them have had a good experience with their journey. The one with the most difficult experience took 4 months to get a "decent" job and a year to get a good job. And all of them had told me the same thing: It's not easy at all, but it's not impossible.

But all of them had a thing in common: They are hard workers that don't give up easily and they don't wait for things to happen, they make it happen. They were successful here before leaving and it wasn't by chance.

So this is how I see it: If you're going to Canada expecting employers to fight for you, you're going to have a very bad time.

you have ur eyes set on cpa right ?
that is the way forward,plan,stick to the plan and execute the plan..it is expected that the life will be tough till we integrate ourselves and it may take time depending on our skill set & the demand out there..
you will leave behind those who lament at unfair treatment....;)...
take it a bit easy, a P R by no means is a shackle....you go there with a mission...work focussed on getting ur mission accomplished (everyone their own)...and if it doesn't go that well,if it is that worse to back home,you may have to switch back...but at this point I'm already thinking about my kids living as citizens of Canada,so I'm ready for the challenge & the struggles..
and we have our little group to share the worries and find good cheer and light up our tough days...with lot of parks and nice roads,we will catch up more often for weekend camps :p...
life can be lived happily wherever,it is about perspectives...and canada by far is a great place away from home..

We definitely would need to know more details about this person and his friends to comment. Depending on your field and experience, you might need to start with a more junior position, and the job hunt might take a while. Some things that could be holding that guy back include not having a resume written optimally for the Canadian job market, not being prepared for Canadian interviews, speaking with a heavy accent, being too discouraged and exuding negativity in interviews. As an American job seeker looking remotely from here, I would say the biggest issue I have been encountering is my need for visa sponsorship before I get the permanent residence. I have designed my resume so that it appears that I might already be in Canada, which often gets recruiters interested and talking until the subject comes up that I still need visa sponsorship at this point.

Maybe that guy is one of those with high CRS score and smooth PR processing, so the permanent residence came quickly and easily to him and he is too impatient in the job market because he thinks the job should be handed over to him quickly. He hasn't had to practice the patience and persistence that we old timers have.

This. I have been told that this happens a lot with new immigrants. They think that things work the same way that they work in their home countries and don't adapt for the Canadian job hunt. Probably your resume isn't what works there. Also a lot of countries don't use cover letters, so a lot of people don't have experience with them. Some don't know how interviews work and don't prepare for them. Job hunting isn't easy and you need to work hard to beat all of the others candidates with the same skills that you have or better in some cases.

Canada is not a path full of roses.. Expect challenges.. Face it. A couple of months would surely be struggling.. But with hope and optimism anyone can succeed.. I have many friends who are decently settled in canada.. As beginner they had their share of hardship.. But now they don't regret about their decision of moving to canada.. Added they believe they've brightened their kids' future. Every country has its pros and cons..Be positive always!

Exactly. One more thing I would add;
We have spent whole our life so far in our home country, and so we have gained position and respect. Then how one can expect same respect from day 1. We need to give and invest some time in our dreamland(Canada).
