What ur bgc say exactly. As i am on the same point since 7 june.. Even i called cic few days back and they told me they are reviewing elegibility requirements and that is a diff department. So when they will send report the bg will start.I'm on IP1 since June 20, since then - nothing...

my BG is "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check".
Exactly mine is the same. R u a CEC applicant?? Any dependent? Inland or outland??

I sent an email to find out about my application and received the below response.
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please note that your application is currently at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and has not yet been transferred to a local visa office
do u know how long it takes to get Visa Office allocated, would appreciate ur response.

Do you mean to say the bg starts AFTER [meeting] eligibility requirements has/have been reviewed?
